Someone needs to tell The Dick that most large cities (urban areas) have majorities of Democrats, therefore of course many more democrats will be voting compared to repubs in the cities.

Even here in Texas (where the republicans try to suppress votes) our largest cities/counties (Austin, Dallas, Houston, El Paso, SanAntonio, etc) were won by Democrat Obama in the 2008 election ;)

Edited to add: There have been reports this week of The TeaParty trying to suppress Texas votes in minority polling places. I think Dick Armey is trying to take the focus off of that fact!

17. We vote early an by absentee when we live in big cities because,

if we are working long hours, we may not be able to get home in time to vote. Some of us have long commutes.

I am now retired, but I once was unable to vote because I was working very, very long hours (on salary, not for the overtime), and did not make it to the polls.

If you live in Simi Valley or Topanga Canyon and work in on office in downtown L.A., it's hard to get home in time to vote. Also, we want to avoid the long lines.

You cannot vote twice. I wouldn't know how you could do that since your name gets crossed off the voters' list when you vote at the polls and they don't count the absentee ballots until the polls have closed so they know who has voted and who has not. I may be wrong about this, but I think that is how it works.
