Republicans in America want us to believe that our country is always under attack by illegal immigrants. Conservative commentors on Fox News tell us that these people are coming to America to rape women, join gangs, and sell drugs. These assertions couldn’t be farther from the truth, but it didn’t stop the government from granting permission to build a 2,000 mile-long border fence to try to keep immigrants from entering the country through our southern border. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. talks with documentary filmmaker Rory Kennedy, whose latest film “The Fence,” talks about why this is a waste of taxpayer resources, and why this fence completely ignores the real threat to America.

1. That was my thought when it was announced.

It was a way to shut up the protesters. Good grief. If they can build tunnels, what's a fence going to solve? Waste of money and it kept Bush's employment figures from dipping further.

And isn't Obama also sending national guard troops???

We have 7,500 troops off of Costa Rica and 46 battle ships to aid with the

war on drugs there -- and plans to move this program to other nations!!

It's all garbage to keep Americans frightened and unfree -- and to demonize

the enemy -- immigrants, pot users -- and anti-war activists!!
