5. It depends what you mean by "Socialism" last I checked the Nordic countries were real...

... the Valhalla part may be an utopia, but as far as socio economic systems go, most of Western Europe was relatively successful at creating a hybrid socialistic system to overcome the limitations of unregulated Capitalism (i.e. the libertarian ideals which came from the Vienna/Austrian schools).

When discussing socialistic vs. libertarian approaches it usually helps to compare the well being for the average citizen of the EU, for example, vs the well being of the average American. Or taking libertarian ideals to their ultimate consequences we could compare the quality of life in Norway vs. Somalia.

And yeah, our capitalist system has come up with cures for all sorts of diseases. But you have access to them only if you have enough money.

For an example of modern-day socialism, Root could look to Sweden. But that would not support his point.

Capitalism makes a lot of sense if you try real hard not to think too much.
