Takes the roots all of the way back to George Wallace. He showed the light for the Southern Strategy started by Nixon. This demographic later had clean sounding names like Reagan Democrats and NASCAR Dads but they were the same people. Today they mostly carry the mantle of Tea Party. The attraction has always been the same -- pandering to their racist instincs.

gets it, 'raise issues that scare people so you don't have to deal with the real issues',and it works for their base but not for the rest of the country. Cenk was solid yesterday on Ratigan. He called Dylan on equating the 2 parties to be the same disagreeing with him about the difference between holding corps accountable. Republicans are 100% in that camp..while there are democrats who do believe in regs. Thanks for posting Tom. Always enjoy Howard.
