3. That made less sense than anything I've heard all day.

Why would people go to jail over a different leak but not this leak? How can a rig floating to the bottom open up a hole in the seabed deep enough to tap into the reserves when they have to drill for months just to dig a relief well part of the way down? If such a hole could open up, wouldn't the pressure of the oil have opened that hole centuries ago? And why is he so vague with all this stuff he calls proof? I've never heard a scientist with facts on their side spend more time bashing people than presenting facts. That was just weird, mostly that MSNBC would have someone like that on their show. I mean, if they think he's credible, they need a two hour interview with him right now where he can explain all this evidence he is so vague on in that call. If they don't, they need to quit feeding the fish by having him on at all.

K&R, btw, I saw this earlier on the floridaoillspilllaw.com site and have been queasy to a degree since. I've seen not only Simmons, but others stating basically the same for weeks now, but they're shot down as nuts.

Time will tell I suppose.

5. I've looked a bit into this guy. I'm still out on whether to be unnerved or not.

Really. I have no idea. His background makes it difficult to dismiss him quickly. The material he's quoted in the past has been somewhat convincing- but without a stack of facts and evidence which would make it easier to swallow his assertions. He's shouting that the Cubans have Soviet missiles but I wanna see satellite pictures of those missiles before I start rooting along.

6. I'm trying to find something he's ever been right on.

He makes showy statements and bets and they always appear wrong, but he puts his predictions far enough into the future that by the time people realize he's wrong he's already made some other bet or prediction that everyone is watching instead, so he skates on the earlier prediction. Meanwhile, he gets interviewed and cited and quoted, so people claim he's an expert. Seems like at some point he'd have to be write about something. I mean, he's published books, made many recorded statements... Shouldn't he have to get at least something right someday? He makes the proverbial broken clock look like a genius.

9. K&R. I heard about other leaks in the morning then BP did the PR blitz

about putting the cap on the main leak and I didn't see those stories from breakfast about other leaks anymore.

10. We will never know the truth.

Our government and BP have made it impossible to know the truth. They have consistently blocked any attempt of independent studies or analysis.

This guy may be right or he may be wrong but until the government and BP allow independent analysis all we will ever hear is the propaganda the corporate state wants us to hear.
