This video was made in an attempt to show congress the real faces that are affected by the unemployment issue.

One potentially good thing about this is that it shows what the real message is that is getting out. It is not the message that you and I know by paying attention to what is going on. To give an example, Harry Reid might be in th backrooms fighting for unemployment, make one announcement after a vote and then assume that everybody knows why this unemployment problem exists. He probably thinks...."Didn't you watch my frustrated rant after the last vote?!!?!" and does not know that the answer is "No".

This is the face of unemployment.... a bunch of people who are in school or job hunting and not sitting on DU watching videos all day. They DO NOT REALIZE the finer points of why their unemployment stopped, they just know that Democrats are in total control and their unemployment check is about to end and so is their school and their shitty life is about to get shittier.

In short, this is a sign that the Democrats are continuing to do a horrible job of getting any type of message out. From a political standpoint, it is a real gift to have the opposition party taking this stance against unemployment. Yet, the Dems keep giving away gift after gift. You have to try extra.....fucking.....hard..... to not take advantage of this politically and this is just one example.

2. i have a good opinion of this school.

my ex went there when it was still called IBC. they do good work, and they got her into a medical assistant career.

hope that everyone who is currently unemployed finds something good.

4. This is sad & wrong - Republicans want the economy to be in shambles by the November elections....

I know many people professional & non who have been desperately looking for work many, many month's and unemployment is all they had.....it also the best way to stimulate the economy - you've got to spend money to make money -

the slimy republicans know this and its why they stopped unemployment insurance for so many who need it and then call them lazy and other names....

They want to destroy any chance of the economy to rebound all so they could take control of congress and put a stop to everything that helps people in favor of corporations, tax breaks for the rich & corporations and more deregulation and less oversight for corporations.

And idiot people around the country will vote for this sick elitist republican ideology & agenda again the very ideology that put us in this mess....

Very pitiful - uneducated uninformed do not understand what ideology is.

5. I personally thought this was very honest and gave a real view of who these unemployed are out there

Like the one lady said, "I don't do drugs and I am a straight A student who doesn't miss any school". That is the majority of people out there, either they are trying the best they can to find "something" or they have went back to school. It is time to do a CETA program like we had in the 1970's where I personally worked in and it gave me enough money to get through that very hard time.

I know Columbus, Indiana. Had a very close friend from there in college.

Columbus was not a liberal town back then. It is middle America.

I will bet you that a large number of the unemployed voted for Bush in both 2000 and 2004. Republicans are fools if they don't support the extension of unemployment to people who include, in large numbers, their own supporters.

But then, any party that would nominate Bush and Sarah Palin is a party of fools.
