And that's exactly what it is. There are several better choices than cutting social security. For one thing the security of Americans is far more dependant on social security than it is on unnecessary foreign wars. That's why it is called social SECURITY. If these wars were necessary we wouldn't be fighting them with only 130,000 troops, we would have a draft and we would be fighting them with everything we have. Necessary? Hardly. So why should we listen to this bullshit?

My social security has already been paid for, but they want to steal it. And that is not bullshit.

3. This government has given

so generously to those who already have.
And now the haves want more. Where will they get it from?
They think they'll get it from Social Security. Yes, that program should be financing the wealthy, not providing social security.
An insecure society is a dangerous one. Give a man less stake in his future and watch out.
Give him no stake in the nation and you've got a brigand in response to brigandage.

To be honest I wasn't fully aware of what a total hoax this whole "SS crisis" deal was. I had assumed there was a good kernel of truth due to our high deficit and crashed economy. HOWEVER...I've never doubted it's a great program and can absolutely be maintained no matter what the circumstances. Hopefully Obama will actually live up to his promise and protect it well.

4. When are we going to take greed out of politics?

Ok, I realize never, but Jesus Flippin' Christ, it seems when any politician reaches a certain level of success, they immediately sell their souls to the corporate devils and "The People" become a mere annoyance. We're basically left to choose from a cesspool of candidates dying to drop to their knees around the biggest porn star lobbyists and perform like circus seals.

Whenever you hear a teabaggin' missing link even utters a whiff of something derogatory about social security, or raising the retirement age for that matter, you just scream, "Bullshit!" and walk away. It's time to tell these assholes who only want for themselves, and feel a harmonious society where all have an equal shot at happiness can go fuck itself, that we're not interested in their evil vision of America anymore.

Whew! Had to get that off my chest. :)
