AN America choir boy who fought - and failed - to stay awake as President Barack Obama delivered the commencement address at his high school has became an internet sensation.

Mr Obama's speech at Kalamazoo Central High School, in Michigan, on Monday, clearly had a soporific effect on the student, who was captured on video nodding off as the President spoke about the importance of hard work and responsibility.

The video, which quickly became a YouTube hit, and has amassed over 3000 fans on a specially dedicated Facebook page shows the choir member's head dropping forward in an apparent deep slumber, before he is jolted awake by the sound of applause.

Despite a heroic effort on his behalf to stay awake by blinking and yawning, he then apparently succumbs to sleep once again, as Mr Obama continues his address two rows in front - oblivious to the less-than-rapt audience member.

3. Extra! Extra! Breaking news! This just in!
Film of student nose-picking at 11!

This is, after all, so much more important than the BP oil gusher or primary election results.

6. This HELPS fight BP.Unrelieved anxiety is crippling and causes a host of illnesses.
BP's not only bathing the Gulf in oil, it's bathing our brains in cortisol. I give you the following: (Btw I'm FROM the Gulf Coast so if anybody needs stress relief it's me)

While cortisol is an important and helpful part of the body’s response to stress, it’s important that the body’s relaxation response to be activated so the body’s functions can return to normal following a stressful event. Unfortunately, in our current high-stress culture, the body’s stress response is activated so often that the body doesn’t always have a chance to return to normal, resulting in a state of chronic stress.

Higher and more prolonged levels of cortisol in the bloodstream (like those associated with chronic stress) have been shown to have negative effects, such as:

•Impaired cognitive performance
•Suppressed thyroid function
•Blood sugar imbalances such as hyperglycemia
•Decreased bone density
•Decrease in muscle tissue
•Higher blood pressure
•Lowered immunity and inflammatory responses in the body, slowed wound healing, and other health consequences
•Increased abdominal fat, which is associated with a greater amount of health problems than fat deposited in other areas of the body. Some of the health problems associated with increased stomach fat are heart attacks, strokes, the development of metabolic syndrome, higher levels of “bad” cholesterol (LDL) and lower levels of “good” cholesterol (HDL), which can lead to other health problems!

Fight BP!! Laugh a little!!
