Ellen I wouldn't take them to heart there are plenty of folks that wouldn't question your patriotism for a second. Things are going through changes it's just a little to dramatic for some folks but they'll come around, it's the only way forward. No-one can cling to the past forever, they'll adapt to their new environment, it's ... evolution.

It seems like Family Feud would draw a lot of teabaggers:
-It's one of the stupidest shows on television.
-The contestants are families(check) of very enthusiastic(check) but usually not very bright people(check!).
It's a show I just can't watch because the stupid just burns too much. One of the family members will give the stupidest answer you could possibly imagine, and all the others will start clapping and shouting "Good answer! Good answer!" like that will somehow make the answer less stupid.

What a teabagger Mecca this show must be. I imagine they get a lot of them on, they are probably just discouraged from giving politicized answers in the pre-show orientation.

John O'Hurley is, I guess, funny in his own way, but Richard Dawson was a gas. The getting to kiss all the girls, and the sheer disbelief on his face when someone said something really, really stupid.... He pretty much pwned all the idiots on the show.

29. In all fairness, regarding the comment Ellen made about the clapping family.

I would suspect the families are instructed by the show's producer(s) to clap after every answer, no matter how bizarre. This helps keep the energy going and creates excitement.

In this case I saw one member of the family refrain for a noticeable moment as she was thrown-off by the response, as if she was thinking about whether or not she should applaud.

But "Family Feud" has never been the same without...

Sometimes people react in excitement out of shear embarrassment. You couldn't really see their reactions at the time he said it, only at the time they showed that nobody had gotten the answer.

I would have loved to hear the conversation between family members later on--obviously at least one person in the family had a fairly positive attitude toward her.
