Check out (and subscribe to - it's free-) our new channel, . As the name suggests, it's all great interviews with the likes of Katrina Vanden Heuvel, Arianna Huffington, economist William K Black, Media Matters reps, various politicians, authors, journalists, reporters and much more.

6. One thing not mentioned, which I believe is very important.
Those right at the top of this whole mess understand one very important thing.

It's not the arbitrary value of your holdings that matters. But what percentage of the pie you end up with every time the dust settles.

You, me, mom and pop investors are permitted to play with the big boys (in a very limited fashion) and if we guess right and pull our investments at the right time we are even permitted to make a modest profit since our small bet is covered by all those other mom and pop investors still in the game.

But inevitably something somewhere gives way. The smart and the fast will get out once the writing is on the wall, quite possibly on the black side of their buy in point, but in doing so accelerate the collapse. Then the panic sellers finish the job.

Ultimately the shares are either bought back by the company (and thus fall under the control of the board), or end up consolidated in the hands of a few large investors.

A quick cosmetic restructure later, the shares are slowly trickled back onto the market and the game begins again.

7. Apparently, They Have A Dozen Or So Solutions/Suggestions At The Conclusion Of Their Book
Haven't read it yet, so I don't know if they address your concerns.

But... your concerns certainly need to be addressed.

12. We have Soviet Union style corporate boards, it sounds like we need some serious reform
in that direction; to say the least.

Kicked and recommended.

Thanks for the thread, Willy.
