4. That guy is a phony.

He claims he had an out-of-body experience and then he draws conclusions about what "God" is thinking. What a loony-tunes guy.

If he were for real he would focus on he details of his experience, but demonstrate humility about drawing conclusions as to what it all means. He may have had a small experience, but most of his talk is just hearsay based on what he has read in the Bible.

I really like Thom Hartmann, but this interview was useless as far as I am concerned.

6. So...Bottom Line...

This guy must have led an incredibly horrid life if he experienced this, (which I highly doubt, but then again, he's in Real Estate, so who knows...:D ) If what he is describing is "real", just from a psychological point of view, I'd have to say he's pretty calm about the whole thing...most people, if they went through this, would be pretty shook up, and have that, "crap your pants" king of voice. I'm pretty stable, and that would have shaken me pretty hard.

I won't go into detail about an NDE I had, (actually 2), but they were a far cry from what this guy says he went through...either I'm doing something right...or it was a "natural" response we all go through to make the transformation a bit easier...in any case, I felt quite warm and loved, and I'm no angel by any sense of the word...:) This guy must be one tortured individual...:(

8. That's what I'm thinking as well...

In Judaism, the whole "hell" experience has nothing to do w/fire & brimstone...it is a permanent seperation from God. Not until the early church in Christianity, is there any mention of all of the "hellish" things like what a lot of people think about when they hear of hell.

The Dark Ages were rife w/depictions of the fire.brimstone thing...all in an attempt to get people scared enough to accept their "place in life", so they would be ready to accept "something better" after death. Can't blame them really, most were illiterate, and their lives were incredibly miserable and short...:(

In any case, this clown is of the "punishment aspect" of Christianity...something that came out during the caustic days of the Reformation, during the Calvinist era.
