I feel like I better understand what is going on with these people and their relationship to each other. Beck really wanted Palin to go after all politicans and say that you couldn't trust any of them, but she wouldn't. I think Beck wants her to be his anti-government establishment leader that will lead all of the teabaggers to the promised land.

But I think Palin is far too establishment and status quo to do that. Beck and others are trying to mold her into something she will never be. I would not be surprised that sometime in the future, Beck will throw her on the woodpile and denounce her as just another establishment politician. One thing these people are really good at is turning on each other, and I think Palin is ripe for some kind of backlash with the Beck crowd.

Because we need trustworthy people we can trust and I trust

anybody listen to her and not see that she really is stupid?

20. Friggen hillarious that a woman who QUIT ... Q U I T ...
her friggen job as governor is going to preach about "trust" in government ...

I think the first and foremost "trust" that any elected official has is that he or she will actually, you know, stay in public service and do the job that people fricken elected them to do ...

To me, that is kind of like, the most basic trust involved, and this dimwitted moron didn't even uphold THAT trust, then is going to sermonize about trust in politics ...

But, it is ALL hypocrasy of the highest level on both ends here - the jerkoff posing in front of the statue of liberty and speaking for the founding fathers while knocking the government they set up and every single thing this woman says and does ...

31. Sarah: "that trust thing" is 2 words? Great start.
GB: "You just said two words."

"That trust thing, .. it, it, a,
ya nailed it with that question,
ya know, trustworthy people surrounding us,
leading us, um, we've got to be able to trust
the very, very, dangerous to trust people in this business of politics, Glenn."

After this the Beck monologue begins
because he sees that "deer-in-headlights" confusion facing him,
and he sure-as-hell does not know what-the-hell she just said,

... and the world watches with great attention as the valiant knight saves the distressed damsel. Ooophs, Sorry, I got a little carried into their ficticious realm there

They think everyone is out to get them. Hypervigilance. And hypervigilance makes one a sociopath. When you are at all costs protecting yourself, you cannot empathize. This is why repukes seem insane, in essence, they are.

In the old world they have a saying that goes something like "thieves think everyone else around them are also thieves"

When you see republicans blaming someone else of something outlandish, watch out because it means they are guilty as f*ck of that.

25. This is a prime example of the depths to which the country has fallen.
When millions of our fellow citizens believe that these people have a shred of credibility, I am very much in doubt about the future of the Republic. They represent the antithesis of the vision that was nurtured by the Founding Fathers who would have regarded these simpletons as nothing more than Dark Age ignoramuses.

The incestuous marriage of the Republicans and Christian fundamentalists has created a deadly cancer that has eaten into the very soul of the nation. There is a distinct and undeniable contrast between those in leadership of the today's Republican Party and those whose vision created our nation. Our forefathers were men of the Enlightenment and were fully aware of the danger that religious zealots posed. The Religio-Republican fanatics have made a mockery of the very motto upon which our Republic was founded: E pluribus Unum.

The motto of the today's Republican Party is divide and destroy. Intolerance and hatred are the weapons spewed daily by their propagandists who dominate the nation's so-called talk shows poisoning millions with their distortions. These charlatans operate without any effective opposition since they dominate control of the mass media. The Fourth Estate, which is essential for maintenance of a democracy has been destroyed and transformed into propaganda machine. At the present I see little hope for the long time future of the Republic since one of its most essential elements has been compromised. The situation is little different than what transpired in Nazi Germany, Russia, China or countless other dictatorships in which control of free speech was compromised. Hopefully, the nation will come to senses and I will be proven wrong.

26. The Fourth Estate
has become a fifth column working for fascist world domination. Goebbels had nothing on these scumbags.
Republicans with thought disorders compounded by loose associations are a major political force in this country.
They are a danger to democracy and also to themselves. That many of them carry dangerous weapons does not bode well for a civil society and social order.
Dim witted lunatics with guns and access to hard liquor is a volatile recipe.

There was a funny quality to this that made me wonder if Beck and Co (because he does have writers and handlers and someone who looks at his "diary" before he goes on air no matter what he'd have the hoi polloi believe) are trying to pull her into the dog and pony show, working the short term ratings game even at her expense. Who'd WORK for a woman who can't trust anybody in any political realm. Who'd work with her? Nothing can be born of paranoia, and this sounds like he's encouraging her to take a paranoid stance.

As for her, the woman has that amazing ability to vamp, to talk like mad while she's clearly spinning a mile a minute looking in an empty cupboard for something of substance to throw in there before she hits a period.

36. I think Beck was trying to set her up
He wanted her to trust him so he goes on this spiel about trust. Good way to try to rope her in. (Remember he's a rodeo clown.)

He tries to get her to name names (something he doesn't do for himself) but she resists. He wante her to sabotage what remains of her tenuous relationship with the Republicans.

Later on when he asks about Founding Fathers, he is trying to show her to be an idiot when he pushes her to identify a single Founding Founder.

Beck is jealous of little Sarah and wants to do her in. IMHO.

Also, Sarah is clearly a dunce. Her eyes have that empty-headed look.

39. If Ms. Palin said nothing, she is not to blame
That was the worst interview ever. It's one thing for a politician to answer in platitudes, but for the interviewer to ask questions in platitudes is something not often seen or heard.

Of course, this is Glenn Beck on FoxNews; Beck's target audience are the morons of America who think that morons are morons because they possess "common sense," which in the end is superior to book learning. Well, I agree that there is something deficient about Ms. Palin's book learning, but I have yet to see her display any common sense, either. In this six-minute clip, Ms. Palin did not demonstrate that she possessed any. Mr. Beck afforded her no opportunities to do so. I was a six minute-long 30 second spot.
