I changed the title to "Disinformer Of The Year" because the difference between the two is that http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misinformation">misinformation is accidental and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disinformation">disinformation is on purpose.

Very detailed list of evidence that shows how they came to this decision, here: http://mediamatters.org/research/200912210015

Here's the email I received from Media Matters:

Dear Friend,

Every day, Media Matters documents conservative misinformation in the media -- from cable news to right-wing radio, from online publications to major newspapers. We hold the media accountable for all too often passing along conservative spin, smears, and distortions as fact. Each year, we award Misinformer of the Year to the media personality or outlet that has been the most egregious disseminator of conservative misinformation. Previous awardees include Bill O'Reilly, Chris Matthews, ABC, and Sean Hannity. This year's "winner" took the title by a landslide.

Media Matters combed through the almost 2,000 research items, more than 5,000 video clips, and more than 3,000 blog posts we released this year to select our annual "Misinformer of the Year."

This year's "winner" frequently trafficked in outlandish conspiracy theories about the Obama administration and progressives in general, unleashed a barrage of outrageous, incendiary and increasingly paranoid rhetoric on a daily basis, and used both his nationally syndicated radio show and cable news program to openly organize political events targeting progressive policies and politicians.

We are grateful for your help in achieving all of our victories this year, but we need your support to continue to hold the media accountable in 2010 and beyond.

Thank you again for your continued support.

Founder and CEO, Media Matters for America

2. Sadly I think you're wrong.

You see I believe that Glenn Beck is actually stupid enough to believe what he espouses. He can't knowingly disinform if he thinks it's the truth.

That Glenn Beck fits into for the year, however to be kind, I will simply call him a

ばか

"Baka" and leave it at that.

4. What idiots the followers of this man are.
My goodness, what a sad display. The mindless Beckbots shown in this clip appear to from be the embarrassing "underclass" of America, the ones we don't want to be seen by the rest of the world, the ones we wish we could lock away in the attic where their jibbering and jabbering won't disturb normal people.

And is it absolutely necessary for every brain-dead Fox Noise viewer and Teabagger to speak in that same, almost impenetrable out-in-the-sticks dumb-as-a-stump drawl? These are apparently considered ideal "spokesmen" for this group of unwashed rabble. Are there any actual smart people who fall for this Beck crap? I doubt it.

Not all conservatives are stupid, but I swear, every single stupid American person (and we have a lot of those!) seems to automatically become a conservative.

5. Thanks for the vid Turborama.

I liked the comparison with Joe McCarthy although Beck looks more pathetic.I can't understand why a dangerous clown like that can get away with all this.

7. No surprise there. Beck is a conspiracy theorist as opposed to a conspiracy factualist.
Anybody can do his job of scaring the American people, just like Al-Qaeda. If he really wants to make a difference he should stay away from politics and donate his time and energy to charitable causes (non-political ones). Maybe people would have a different view of him. He has the easiest job in the world. He never sacrificed anything for his country. He's a paranoid junkie with a chalkboard and has rotten DNA.
