2. Yep.
Throughout the primaries, people here insisted Obama was as progressive as they come, but from everything he was saying, he was clearly further to the right than any of the other candidates we had.

And just like Bush embedded language that was a nod to the bible thumpers many took Obama's embedded language as the nod that he was one of us.

I looked for a video of a campaign speech where he uses that phrase but only found the video where he introduces Kaine and refers to their shared "pragmatic" progressive philosophy.

and some still feel it was a single payer plan who didn't follow things too closely. It's why I supported Dennis before both of them because only he had the real solution single payer.
