Jeremy Scahill, in addition to reporting on the leader of Blackwater (Prince), also notes that Blackwater is indeed working in Pakistan, where he states the real war is going on. He notes they are considered to be only designated as a 'training forces' - when in reality, Blackwater forces are going out on raids. He has multiple sources verifying his information - including a well placed American intelligence source.

Additionally, he reports the Republic of Uzbekistan is now being drawn into the battlelines as Blackwater forces are acting within the borders of Uzbekistan as well. This is in addition to Pakistan and Afghanistan, and all of this - every bit of it of it, with no Congressional oversight.

________

Jeremy Scahill reports where no other reporters will.

2. Jeremy Scahill is a treasure, love him! He shines the light
on what they'd love to keep in the dark. It's incredible what we are allowing to take place funded by our tax dollars. The CIA has to be made accountable, they are blatant criminals of the worst kind. There's no congressional oversight on much of anything that is screwing us into hell.

3. He is one of the best
if what he is saying is true ,which I do believe, then the US is fighting an illegal war in Pakistan. That is crazy.

that America has an entire "shadow government" that operates both domestically and internationally. Besides the immorality and total absence of civil rights accorded to Americans and foreigners alike, there is an economic price that is staggering. In a sane world the economic realities would be incidental, however, since we exist in a country where a monetary price is attached to everyone and every action (unregulated capitalism), we have to consider the economic absurdities on display. Our(?) government made Prince a billionaire and a CIA "operative", while they spend trillion$ killing innocent people in order to implement power over their oil(an investment of this magnitude in solar power would revolutionize energy) and whatever else our(?) twisted logic permits us(?) to spend money on, so the Military Industrial Complex can reap untold "profits". All the while, we can't have Universal HC because it is not "cost neutral?" I apologize for the confused state of this post. I am still trying to wrap my small brain around all of the ramifications and implications of this insane "policy." IMO, America has already ceased to exist, unless you are wealthy. Everyone else are just slaves and have no civil rights or any reason to exist except to either financially support the criminal enterprise that America has become (you can do this even by being a prisoner)or the chosen few who either carry water for the elite or serve as cannon fodder for the elite. I grieve for what could and should have been and I acknowledge that the current America could not exist if Ronald Reagan's policies had never existed and been perpetuated. President Obama has proven to be an extension of the ruin of America rather than the hope for "change" that I so naively believed in. One way to really change anything is to remove all money from politics and allow more than two political parties to be viable... I don't have the answers because I can no longer even discern the vital questions in our current state of affairs. People like Bernie Sanders taking the reigns of government would be an excellent start. Compassionate, smart and for the people. I will make it my goal to become an "ex-pat." I have no faith left.

6. I guess we shouldn't be the least bit surprised by this.
We have a long and sordid history of this type of thing, going back to the genocide of the Native Americans and slavery of Afro-Americans, not to mention interment camps for Japanese-Americans.

We just keep building on past atrocities while expounding our American Exceptionalism. We're exceptional alright, exceptionally arrogant, exceptionally agressive, and exceptionally violent against any country that possesses what we want.

7. This is UNCONSTITUTIONAL/ILLEGAL - that is the reason for Blackwater
killing people in other countries....

This is Nixon's secret war in Cambodia.

8. And no one seems to care
We would not stand still if some other country were droning us. How do we expect other countries to tolerate it? Is this so the minute they fight back then we declare war on them?

13. & then some. They are well paid while real soldiers are paid
a pittance. Beyond the horrors of the war, they see how the mercenary army breaks every law and they are paid well for their murder and mayhem.

12. Thanks, love Jeremy Scahill. One of the few real reporters
in the country. He said once that the media was so intertwined with the PTBs that they do not dare to question them and are more likely to actually help them to avoid any reporters who will demand answers.

K&R but I don't know what can be done about any of this at this point. I fear for anyone who stands up since they will not get the backing they would need.
