Sen. James Inhofe has won the battle against global warming -- or so he thinks.

"I proudly declare 2009 as the 'Year of the Skeptic,' the year in which scientists who question the so-called global warming consensus are being heard,'' the Oklahoma Republican said in a long speech Tuesday during a Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works meeting.

"Until this year, any scientist, reporter or politician who dared raise even the slightest suspicion about the science behind global warming was dismissed and repeatedly mocked.''

"Today, I have been vindicated," he said.

The reason for Inhofe's glee? Not any scientific shift, merely the news that a binding international agreement on climate change will likely be put off until 2010. President Obama has been hobbled by Congress in his attempts to lead the way for the global pact.

And Inhofe had a message specifically for Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) -- "We won, you lost, get a life."

2. Look for his inevitable "I'm rubber, you're glue" verbal joust, followed by...
...I KNOW you are, but what am I?"

There's maybe ten out of the whole lot that I'd piss on if they spontaneously combusted.

4. You know I think we can learn
something from Inhofe - seriously. On Health Care -when Republicans complain: "We won, you lost, get a life." On Wall Street regulation: "We won, you lost, get a life." On equal right in all areas of life: "We won, you lost, get a life."

10. Another good thing about Obama being Pres is...

12. Those who want to meet Republicans like Inhofe halfway are just
feeding this kind of arrogance and meanness. I'm sick of the crowd that wants to "cooperate" with Republicans and be nice to them. Of course, I'm nice to my Republican friends. I just don't talk politics with them. I'm talking about "making nice" with regard to legislation. We should just simply cut them out and let Democrats who side with them know that they will be repaid for their infidelity to Democratic causes. The big tent theory is not working for the American people. We are not getting the legislation we need.

Health care and the environment are life and death issues. How can we compromise with Republican nay-sayers when it comes to safeguarding the lives of Americans? Let them sound off, but vote them down.

13. I am so sick of these Christian Idiots!
They refuse science when it comes to Evolution or Global Warming but they sure love all the other aspects of science...This so typical of religious people, they ooze with hypocrisy!

I just wish they would follow the Bible and not seek physicians and just rely on prayer!

16. Oh, goody! Does that mean the WE get to make all the decisions now?!!!
Just like when we Democrats TROUNCED the repukes in the LAST election and THEY still got to determine ALL the legislation?!!!

Watch what the repukes can do with just TWO wins against our "super majority" where we Democrats can't seem to do ANYTHING!!!
