This is no mistake. Faux News wants a GOP candidate who will be on the side of big business and billionaires, and Palin is not dependable enough in that sense. She's in it for herself and her family and also to establish a theocracy in America, but she's not especially a tool for big business/billionaires like Rupert.

So I think what we will see is FAUX news consistently trying to "fact check" Palin and trying to tear her down to their audience, unless Rupert et. al. become convinced they can use her reliably. How that is going to play out with Glenn Beck, remains to be seen-he seems like a Palin fan to me.

I think this may Fox's "fair and balanced" underhanded way of dealing with having been busted a couple of times recently on their file footage "mistakes" The first couple of times they made Republican events appear better attended than they were, and now they look disingenuous. This time, the mistake (which they happen to catch during the broadcast) has the wrong book cover- a book which mocks Palin. Notice, the picture is very professionally set up: Why would Fox even have this picture? This way they make it look to their audience like they have a few idiots down in the footage department, and not like they are purposely misleading people.
