1. I remember an old Bloom County
...where the "Bloom Beacon" broke a front-page story about something or other that turned out not to be even remotely true, but the story had caused a lot of mayhem.

Milo the editor stood on his desk and screamed something to the effect of "QUICK!! RUN A CORRECTION ON PAGE Z-99, UNDER THE TIDE TABLES!!"

18. You are 110% correct!
If it were not such a serious threat to our country I would actually feel sorry for all the brain dead folks who think FOX is news, real true news. Instead FOX is a brain washing channel for weak minded uneducated folks who are slaves to religion and fear. FOX & the Republicans capitalize on using these people for votes. SAD yet very SCARY!!!

16. I'm loving me some Jon Stewart lately - he could be the best investigative reporter out there.
Him and Rachel, they don't miss a thing.

17. I think it's become a kind of inside joke at Fox...
...to do this. The same goes with their constant labeling of Republicans, who have been caught in some outrageous scandal, as Democrats. They just don't care.

5. sorry
I "mistakenly" saw some guy on a street corner. He asked me what I wanted. I "mistakenly" asked for some coke. He asked how much. I "mistakenly" told him a gram. Blah blah blah....
The Faux News crew is in complete denial of reality!

6. I remember the first time they put a 'D' in front of
a repug's name. They apologized profusely, blamed an intern (of course). Not a sound out of them the next 6 times they did it.

7. If they are going to apologize for every mistake they make...
They will hardly have time to spew their hate and vitriol.

9. We didn't mean to mislead anybody
Oh please! Gregg Jarrett said the pictures were "just coming into us" as they were reporting
about Palin's book tour and just by chance Fox was showing video from over a year ago of
a Florida campaign stop with a banner chyron that just happen to cover up the McCain campaign
sign. All 3 things Jarrett's comments, the showing of Florida 2008 and not Michigan 2009, and the
"convenient" placement of the chyron all mislead the audience and all three were just random chance?

19. Or when they overly edited Joe Biden to say "the fundamentals of the economy are sound."
Edited on Thu Nov-19-09 04:30 PM by KansDem
...when in fact he was quoting John McCain during the 2008 campaign. FAUX omitted Biden saying "John McCain says..."

http://thinkprogress.org/2009/03/16/fox-news-fundamentals/

They "apologized" for that one, too. Seems like they're always apologizing! I can remember a time when news networks didn't have to...

on edit: DAMN!!! They pulled it. Oh well, you can still read about it...

20. Oh. Yeh. It was a mistake.....
One Faux happens to make on a consistent basis.....like labeling a Republican asshole in trouble with a (D), or a Democrat that just won in a red district with an (R). Yup it's a li....er, a MISTAKE.....that's the ticket.
