1. Thom, Please Address your Right wing Guests honestly

by either calling them out as being liars or just sorely misinformed. Nothing this guest has said holds any water at all... he's a liar. Never ever let a liar call you ridiculous... at least, call him out on it by stating you are using facts and he is using theory, and myth.

We on the left have got to be more aggressive. It's part of the reason they have gained so much power.

5. I admire Thom's civility. Gives his guests enough rope

to hang themselves with their logical inconsistencies or otherwise flawed arguments. He allows us to see how their thoughts play out. Lets me hear how they defend themselves. Then he usually responds with facts that counter their specious arguments.

We have other hosts who jump on the right wingers calling in and that is cathartic sometimes, but I enjoy our polite professorly Thom. He provides a great service by allowing his guests to roll out their spin and courteously parrying most of their lies quite deftly.

8. oh, don't get me wrong

I've listening to Thom Hartman for about 7 years or more. I was just frustrated seeing that lying smug creep regurgitate lies that have already been refuted, just to screw Americans more.

It's a good thing Thom was there instead of me...

But yes indeed, some of those guests drive me nuts too. I'm yelling at my radio sometimes.

7. Another reason may be most people do not know the enemy

Thom is comfortable with who he is and trusts his listeners to understand why he talks to these people the way he does.

Know your enemy.

Learn how to engage conservatives so they don't shut down, give em the rope and all.

It's almost as if every Hartmann clip should come with a disclaimer. There is a subtlety to his style. He is always civil to his guests and does not engage in their tactics.

They had to steal elections, bribe elected officials, and distract, impoverish, fatten the American people to gain power. They did it with greed and legislatively, not because we didn't call them liars.

3. Agree if government has healthy revenue, it's very logical most economic disaster's

can be averted in combination with breaking up monopolies. I don't know if the rich will ever get taxed as much as they once were again but hey if Hartmann keeps plugging away who knows what might one day happen. They've certainly got to pay more of their fair share that's for sure.

Another plus side of rolling back the Reagan tax cuts for the wealthy is that less money goes to CEOs and more money to innovation a big component to addressing climate change.

6. When I walk past the Heritage Foundation's offices, I have to think that building's one giant bong.

What are these guys smoking? And everyone from that place is an arrogant, condescending prick.

I've debated Dennis Avery, the HF's "expert" on agriculture policy. About 15 years ago when grain prices were in the crapper due to perceived "oversupply," Avery's solution was to allow American farmers to produce more. This will depress global prices and the farmers from other countries will get out of farming before ours do. Never mind that the farmers in foreign countries were backed by their government more than ours and production agriculture in other countries was run by multi-national corporations.

Their answer to everything is deregulation and good ole American know-how and technology will always enable us to prevail. Right! Like our technology and capital cannot be moved to other nations? They don't see this and it blows holes in their argument.

10. "condescending prick" He sure was/is! Most of us have become so tired of the

denigrating language, that we are refusing to be nice anymore and not take it anymore.

HOWEVER, this isn't the exclusive province of the RW... we see the very same thing right here on DU, and many of us have gotten to the point where we won't take the nastiness anymore, regardles of what "side" it comes from.

Many of us long for the return of civility, and refuse to accept the ugliness.
