This is going to be fun. I love that 9 year old kid at the beginning and end. Adorable. :)

P.S. Oh, noes!!! They include Obama saying his quote that Pat Buchanan just doesn't get - more RW mass confusion.

NORTON PRODUCES OBAMA DOCUMENTARY

07 November 2008

Actor EDWARD NORTON has produced a documentary chronicling America's next President BARACK OBAMA's path to the White House.
The Fight Club star's production company Class 5 Films has closed a deal with bosses at American network HBO, who plan to air the finished programme early in 2009.

Norton reportedly approached the Obama campaign in 2006 to document his entrance into the world of politics. Directors Alicia Sams and Amy Rice filmed extensive footage of the Obama in his role as Illinois' senator and continued to shoot the politician as he kicked off his presidential campaign in 2007.

Norton tells the Hollywood Reporter, "Senator Obama's history-making race for the White House has given our film a perfect framework to explore the pulse of the country at this vital moment in our history."

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1201658/">IMDB's review of this has only 4.5 stars out of 10, must be a lot of trolls on that site.

8. Me too. It's still stuck at 4.5, though.
Hopefully it'll be updated soon. :fistbump:

Have you been an IMDB member for long? It's been quite a while since I posted on there and now they are asking users to validate their account before you can post anything. Any idea how new that verification thing is?

11. Hmmm...
Actually I've been a member for several year and hadn't done anything for about a year or so and then a few months ago went to do something there and it seems like I might have had to verify something... I really can't tell ya for sure, but it seems like I might have had to. So maybe that happens when you haven't been there for a long time.

7. What I did once is...
I called my cable company and they said that I could add HBO to my cable for any amount of days I wished and I would get a pro-rated charge. So, I had them add it a few hours before a movie that I wanted to see came on (so that I could watch 'Grey Gardens') then called up the next day and canceled it. It cost me under $2.

So, you might want to call your cable company and check out their rules and see what they can do for you.

Inside the Obama Documentary Premiere
by Matthew DeBord

A War Room for the 2008 election season, By the People had its world premiere in Los Angeles this week. Matthew DeBord reports from inside the screening and talks to producer Edward Norton, director Amy Rice, and more.

A crowd of Hollywood insiders—among them Barry Levinson, Woody Harrelson, Ari Emanuel, and Ron Rifkin—spilled out of the Billy Wilder Theater at the Armand Hammer Museum on Wednesday night after the world premiere of By the People: The Election of Barack Obama.

The HBO documentary, some four years in the making, follows Obama, his family, and his campaign team from the announcement of his presidential bid to President Obama seated behind the Kennedy desk in the Oval Office. The campaign itself is still fresh in everyone’s memory, but already By the People has transformed it into a momentous episode in American history.

Comparisons to The War Room—D.A. Pennebaker’s 1993 chronicle of the Clinton campaign in 1992, which introduced America to the rapid-response politics of James Carville and showed us a youthful, untested George Stephanopoulos being…well, tested—are inevitable. But By the People, co-directed by Amy Rice and Alicia Sams, and produced by Edward Norton’s Class 5 company, paints a broader picture. There’s less political jargon and more on-the-ground intimacy with Obama, Michelle, their children, and members of the campaign staff, both experienced and green.

The IMDB review has some spoilers and the movie itself has been voted down to 4.5 out of 10 by IMDB's trolls: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1201658/
