Appearing this morning on MSNBC, Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL) strongly rejected any comparison between his "Die quickly" attack on Republicans and Rep. Joe Wilson's (R-SC) "You lie!" interruption of President Obama.

"Comparing what Joe Wilson did to what I did -- it's not the same," said Grayson. "What I did is like a Bob Dylan protest song. What Joe Wilson did is like a belch." ----October 12, 2009

 :toast: :kick:

The entire Republican Party of 2009 is nothing more than a rendering tank of bloated flatulence.

3. What I love about Alan Grayson
is how he immediately cuts off the B.S. and plows on through.

25. Bobby May LOVE The Reference... However... Bobby, According To Joan Baez
AND to her consternation, was NEVER into politics per se! Wrote SOOOOOOOOO many fantastic songs we used for protest, but he never really was on the front lines!!

John Lennon on the other hand, beat a VERY LOUD DRUM!!!

are great....but Grayson's position also stands up to discussion

Grayson had the floor during a session of Congress where congresspeople debate

Wilson did not have the floor and yelled out during a televised presidential speech.

Grayson has yet to tell a lie

Wilson lied by implying the bill did cover illegal immigrants and the president knew it.

There are zero race related innuendos or even racial suspicions in Grayson's statements

Not so much in Wilson's

See... it was a belch.

15. I'd say "flatulence", but why quibble.
Her question was astounding.....does she really not know the difference?

If she did, but asked it anyway, who put her up to it?

Stuff like that is unfathomable.

10. Grayson!
This guy is great. :toast:

Was thinking of Dylan when Grayson was doing his "get out of the way" speech.

"Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside
And it's ragin'.
It'll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'."

Bob Dylan

13. it's a gift
Alan Grayson has a spectacular gift for getting right to the core of the matter in vivid easily understandable terms. His points are always crystal clear and defy any misinterpretation.

I love this guy!

14. originally thought it presumptuous to compare himself to Dylan, but now I get it
my guess is that he's referring to Dylan turning over all those cards with the lyrics from Subterranean Homesick Blues in Don't Look Back and it's sort of a tongue in cheek comparison to himself , turning over those cards/visual aids during his "they want you to die quickly" speech. Go get em Cong. Grayson; there's a hell of a lot of ordinary Americans who've got your back and are so relieved to hear a Democrat in Washington FINALLY having the guts to tell the truth and not back down an INCH.

Wow.

Try hard, get barred
Get back, write braille
Get jailed, jump bail
Join the army, if you fail
Look out kid
You're gonna get hit
But users, cheaters
Six-time losers
Hang around the theaters
Girl by the whirlpool
Lookin' for a new fool
Don't follow leaders
Watch the parkin' meters
