1. K&R for our truth tellers.

McCoughy, ahem, is another of those right wing darlings who lie with aplomb. She seems to be trying to combine giving off a cutesy Peggy Noonan style while having a Mary Matalin "heart of steel" ability to lie through her teeth.

She revels in that cheap proposition that everyone read the bills, without worrying that if any GOP leaders were quizzed on the contents, they'd be too busy having affairs, covering them up and praying about their transgressions to give cogent answers. With conservative domination of our major broadcast media, she's pretty confident that reporters won't ask GOP leaders any probing questions about the legislation but will instead allow them to pull out their talking points about page such & such to create the appearance that they've read it.

So I'm very glad Rep Weiner points out how helpful it would be if those who purport to have read the bill would just stop lying about what they have read.
