4. I'm obsessed with this story.

My entire life I've struggled with the death penalty. For the first time the light came on as clear as can be.

The New Yorker article on this case is stunning. At the end of his life, Willingham admits to the only lie he told
was he didn't crawl into the children's fire filled room to save them. An impossible effort. It just breaks
your heart to know this father probably beat himself up for years over that small detail when an entire system
failed him.
