2. You know this is false, I know this is false, we all know this is false
But will that stop the conservative rank and file from believing this as fact and treating it like it's the newest talking point next week?

That's what really matters to guys like King.

3. ACORNOPHOBIA!!!!
Edited on Sat Sep-26-09 01:53 PM by AlbertCat
What the FUCK is this obsession with ACORN? It's completely neurotic and paranoid. I hope ACORN sues everyone involved. Right or milquetoast left. And it funds them for decades to come.

This is just... nuts. (pun intended!)

5. This ACORN hysteria is absurd..
As Rachel Maddow pointed out, Blackwater and some of the other major defense contractors are accused of stealing several times the sum total of what ACORN has received in government funding over the years. They have also been involved in the actual murder of civilians in Iraq and real instances of child prostitution not just entrapped into talking about hypothetical situations on heavily edited video tapes, yet no one is willing to do a damn thing about the BILLIONS that they are still receiving from the government.

The so-called Liberals on sites like this and in Congress who turned on ACORN so quickly after such a blatant set-up by those two punk RW junior operatives SICKEN me. Will "Liberals" stand up for anything?

7. I agree, the left is so worried about what names the Right might
Edited on Sat Sep-26-09 02:39 PM by sabrina 1
call them they rush every time to let the rabid rightwing fringe know what good little boys and girls they are, not 'partisan' and definetely not 'liberal'. It's pathetic because if the left would just stand up and fight, these morons are so ridiculous and such obvious liars they could easily be put out to pasture.

But the real reason for the right's hysteria over ACORN is they dared to force banks, using the CRA (Community Re-investment Act, a law long hated by financial interests) to stop discriminating against minorities and the poor.

For decades now, ACORN proved wrong the theory that the working poor and minorities are a bad risk by helping get mortgages that were affordable and by insisting that minorities who work and pay their bills can and should be allowed to buy a house wherever they want to.

This shattered two of their hateful beliefs, one that the working poor and minorities are worthless garbage and never pay their bills, but prefer to live on welfare, and secondly, it prevented their deep-seated racism, which was acted out by refusing to sell homes to blacks and other minorities in 'white' neighborhoods.

Acorn fought them hard and won most of the time for decases now. Democrats are a disgrace for going along with this latest petty, racist vendetta against the poor. Because that's who they defunded.

14. The guy's inexplicably mean
He believes his greatest accomplishment is voting against aid to for Hurricane Katrina: http://thinkprogress.org/2009/09/22/king-katrina/

Kind people don't need to have a backwards, mean-spirited person "representing" them to know that backwards, mean-spritied people are cruel.
