Pretty funny; looks like a total "oh shit" moment for Barack to me. He immediately panics while Harwood cracks up.

3. Good for President Obama!
I am so sick of people who display horrible behavior (Joe Wilson, Kayne West, etc)not being taken to task for exhibiting crude and rude behavior.

4. Apparently there is no longer
such a thing as journalistic integrity. Don't get me wrong, I agree 100% with Obama and it really made me smile when he said that. But the fact remains is that he said it was to be off the record. OFF THE RECORD!

Now the media is going to treat the President like Rodney Dangerfield: No respect, the POTUS get's no respect at all.

5. I don't know if it was officially 'off the record' at that point - and I agree with him

glad he said it, glad it was on video, and hope MTV bans him from every coming to the show. Inexcusable behavior.

Thanks President Obama for telling it like it is. But stop backing out of it after. Just say it and be done with it.

Thanks moran.

Because that look on the Prez face is priceless and I'm thinking this can only help Kanye who is the jackass but not hopelessly so, imv.

10. I can only hope that this puts republicans in a position of defending Kanye West.
He said what everyone already thinks anyway, and since it was supposed to be off the record, he suffers no blow back for his off-color language.

And it's not like his language was obscene anyway.

11. 'cut the president some slack'... like they would with a Democrat in office, because they know he
won't have them killed, er, I mean, suicided. Wheras a rethuglican president would have so and so go to task against anyone who would put this out when they're getting ready for an interview - this isn't the primaries anymore, he's the president, so yeah, cut him some slack!

it wasn't an uncalled for comment - just something you don't hear the president say. 'jackass' is an apt word to describe Kanye.

12. The only way a Democratic President
can be effective in office is to neuter hostile media and all Blue Dogs.

13. Isn't the "liberal media" amazing? Obama's remark was "off-the-record" ... and yet,
it gets broadcast all over the world.

George W. Bush spies on U.S. citizens ... New York Times sits on the story for a few years, long enough for Bush to get re-elected.

George W. Bush and Dick Cheney go in to a hearing where it's "off the record" ... and we are never told of what they said.

Larry Craig gets arrested for soliciting homosexual sex in an airport bathroom ... and it's not mentioned for months. George Michael needed to run for the Senate as a Republican ...

Al Gore's son is arrested for speeding ... it's fodder mere hours later, even for the "liberal" talkers ...

Pedo, I mean, Ted Nugent gets a blowjob from an underage girl ... how many times has this draft dodger's indiscretion been covered by the media when he makes a public statement? Nowhere near as many times as you hear about Chappaquiddick, even if you take that number's square root ...

15. The corporate whores never even mentioned the young intern who died
in Joe Scarborough's office, but they couldn't get enough of Gary Condit and his connection of Chandra Levy. Most people are still unaware that Laura Bush was responsible for causing a death in an auto accident back when she was a teenager, but the American people know every sordid detail about Chappaquidick. And I have never seen on any network the photo of George W. Bush proudly holding up his middle finger to a tv camera.

One set of standards for Dems. Another for Repukes. That's simply the way it is.

16. A pretty cheap lesson for Obama
I suspect we won't see any more clips like this for the duration of his presidency.

14. Oh, Kanye, what have you done now?
It's nice that we have a president that is abreast of current events. Kanye is such an unpredictable person. While I think that he is the most talented rapper/producer/person making music at this time, his attitude/actions in public leave something to be desired. But, personally speaking, as long as the quality of his work stays at the level of... nothing less than stellar, I will support him and buy his music no matter what he says in public.
