1. this is a great summary . . . . except the part

where they support a limited PO as a test - if it works, then it will be expanded.

Who will it be available to - 5% who are currently uninsured. How many are uninsured because of pre-existing conditions. They are going to be expensive to treat. So seems to me failure is built-in in terms of it being economical. Sure - those folks will get their well-deserved coverage, but it will never pass a test that allows the rest of us to take it as an option.

6. I think we need to be giving Obama the message:

If he thinks he's going to mandate us all into the poorhouse,
he'd better expect us to mandate his ass out of the next primary.

Honestly, I really, REALLY don't want to talk that way about him,
but to so thoroughly turn a reform effort against itself
can only be the height of evil, or stupidity,
and we've had too much of both
in that office
of late.
