What a sleazy lying scumbag!

@3:10 he says pharma has spent $13,000,000 dollars in the 1st half of this year on "supporting" what's going on in Congress. Does anyone have details on what this "supporting" actually means?

@4:50 Shuster brings up their memo but the asshole totally avoids the question.

I don't know why they bring these guys on... they are EXPERTS at PR and spin, and they wouldn't tell the truth if you were sawing their arm off. These guys are pros at coming out with shit that is irrelevant to the question as a normal, adult conversation is supposed to happen. The shit about bubblegum was a prime example, and the quip about "Well, nobody said anything about coming out with swastikas about bush". Smarmy little prick! It's futile to try and trap these little sleazebags in any way, they have their answers already scripted and wouldn't give you an honest answer if you paid them, They are paid to lie, and trained to lie, and they are professionals at it.

3. One relevant difference
is that Bush, by definition, is a fascist and so is America's corporate class. Other than listening to this nondescript "average man" Max Pappas peddle hate as reason, I am reminded of Hannah Arendt's comments about the banality of evil in regards to the Third Reich and to Dr. Gustav M. Gilbert's comment after interviewing Nazi war criminals at Nuremberg that: "Evil, I think, is the absence of empathy. To my mind only such a personality could support the fear and suffering imposed upon millions of people by our current health care system.

2. Shuster did not "take him on"
Shuster did not challenge Pappas in any way on his major talking points. Way to allow these corporate shills to hide behind a phony grass roots facade, MSNBC.

5. I have come to the conclusion that
Republicans are genetically pre-disposed to mean spirited and obnoxious rhetoric. They cannot help it. They all think alike and act stupid all the time. We need to educate them.
