3. In regards to SEIU, I got this email from Pride At Work

The mission of Pride At Work is to advance the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender workers within the organized labor movement andlarger society. Our mission transcends union affiliation given that our members come from every sector of the labor movement, therefore, we do nottake positions on disputes between and among unions.

Recently, Pride At Work was asked to sign on to a letter regarding Unite Here and SEIU/Workers United that I mistakenly believed called for the labor movement to come together for the greater good. In fact, that letter was not a neutral call for unity, but actually supported the agenda of SEIU.

The letter has been rescinded, and on behalf of Pride At Work and myself, I apologize for the error and the distress and concern it caused.

Pride At Work remains committed to seeing the full inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender workers in every aspect of the labor movement.
