These are right-wingers who have taken an oath not to attack right wingers if they break the law.

Pretending they are defending the constitution. The war on drugs, which they LOVE, is totally uncondititional. But they attack people on that because they think it's the OTHER.

Reminder: The June 13 Rally in DC Was Canceled

We posted a notice about this a while back, but just in case any of you missed it, the Gathering of Eagles rally in DC scheduled for tomorrow, June 13, was canceled. We Oath Keepers were going to take part in that rally, but Gathering of Eagles had to cancel because their funding fell through.

On the brighter side, we will be at a Tea Party rally in Bozeman Montana on July 4. And Oath Keepers representatives will be speaking at July 4 events and conducting oath ceremonies all over the country (and more invitations to speak are coming in all the time). We'll post details about all of that very soon.

2. I watch and all the way through the video I kept asking myself - who

is this group because IF they were legitimate they sound good. To realize that they are NOT being honest is scary. They truly know how to cover up their true identity.

Toward the end I did realize that they were using scare tactics that are very familiar after 8 long years of them.

the military, the Air Force in particular, the CIA, the courts, the Justice Department. They are every place where there's a badge or a gun.

They are extremely undercover and their success is all do to stealth.

4. So, you don't like the constitution but you like drugs. Did you watch the video?

The video didn't even mention drugs, so that has to be your own personal crusade.

The video DID mention how the constitutional rights of the people of New Orleans were violated by soldiers and police after Katrina. Everybody was just following orders, unconstitutional orders.
This organization is educating active duty people and police about orders they do not have to follow. Actually, orders they have taken an oath to refuse to obey.

So you prefer unthinking soldiers and police who follow orders blindly. NOT me.

5. The so called war on drugs destroyed the 4th amendment THAT amendment

Protected our right to illegal search and seizure. ALL the things they bitch about. Their guns etc, were protected by the fourth which doesn't exist anymore THANKS TO THEM!

I have no patience with this anymore. They don't fool me one little bit. They are full of shit and I want their lying asses OUT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT!

BTW the Gathering of Eagles is a freeper organization. Do you really think freepers should be allowed to be cops or troops? I don't.

Believe my, I am so sympathetic so the ideas you post, I couldn't agree more.

But the oath keepers are not what they claim to be. Their interpretation of the word "constitution" does not rely on the document itself. When they use that word they mean it in the way the RW uses the term. It is pretty obvious if your read thru their stuff.

A politically minded military/police force that organizes itself along its political beliefs - even when hidden behind the guise of good intentions as here - is always a step to hell. "Constitution" for them does not mean the document but a certain interpretation of it.

Anyone who doesn't see what the oath keepers are - a proto fascist organization that is trying to create a second order of command to further a political agenda when the times is right - is maybe a bit too unfamiliar with the radical elements of this country.
