Am I the only one who thinks it's sad that students have to be the ones getting these answers?

PS---I'm glad the MSM picked up on this after Cenk covered it (per the video you posted) and broke it open . And kudos to Rachel for giving him credit!

2. Can't we put them all in cells like Bernie has,
perhaps Rice, Rummy, Dead Eye Dick and Dumbya should be held and water boarded say every day for three months, then put them on a plane to Siberia.

5. if the Al Qaeda attack on WTC is the supreme insult to America, Dr. Rice....
...then why did you not do due diligence to stop it? You were warned, in more ways than one. You were warned.

So don't be using the attack on the WTC as a shield for your war crimes.

11. It's simple: Another year of "go back to bed America"...
...from everyone with the responsibility to lead, in both parties, on all channels, across all media -- except for some internet outlets (thankfully enough so that there is yet hope to be had).

It's like the bush v. Gore edict that got us into this mess. Many default to thinking that it must be Ok or somebody would be objecting.

Trouble is, when it comes torture, this "failure of leadership" is a war crime in itself.

12. I just don't know
Are they afraid of another failure like the 9/11 commission or have they become too at ease with the new administration? There are people speaking out like Olbermann and Maddow. Not to mention Jonathan Turley. I agree that if we don't clean up the past it's a failure of our republic with complicit leadership. These polls never indicate the reasoning but honestly like Turley said "it's the difference between tyranny and democracy." It's about the future leaders who will absolutely do this again if not held down by the law. It's frustrating.

13. Oh yes you do know.
And those of us who know have the duty to refuse to shut up about it. We can move the debate.

We simply don't have the right to torture our way to economic recovery, or better healthcare, or the solution to anything else. And that's exactly what we're doing.

We can't be shy about speaking up. And can't be hesitant to challenge our "leaders."

14. well said
and I hope we do not shut up about it. I know MSM is complicit but I'd hope more were listening to tabled discussions. Maybe once the photos come out the tide will turn. Thank God for the ACLU. Too bad we don't have the 92 tapes the CIA destroyed..that alone should be worth investigating.

In a letter addressed to a federal court today, the Department of Defense announced that it will make public by May 28 a "substantial number" of photos depicting the abuse of prisoners by U.S. personnel. The photos, which are being released in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed by the American Civil Liberties Union in 2004, include images from prisons in Iraq and Afghanistan at locations other than Abu Ghraib.

18. The 9/11 Commissions is a joke.
Didn't one liberal member quit because he said the members on the Commission weren't allow to see any relevant documents by the Bush administration.? J. Turley said if Obama doesn't prosecute those responsible for the torture then Obama becomes the co-perpetrator of this crime.

20. where is that from?
if this is truly representative of the thoughts and feelings of the american people, then all my hope that surged when obama was elected are dashed. it was too late, we had fallen off the slope.

16. today is the day to donate to the ACLU
The organization is doing its best to stand between us and tyranny. Small donations are accepted. It's important to swell the membership with small donations, if you have nothing more. http://www.aclu.org

17. Do it again; confront these criminals and get their statements ON TAPE
They will put themselves in legal jeopardy every time we get them to open their mouths; but be sure to videotape every word they utter.
