That ad is the most craven piece of shit I think I have ever seen. That is up there with the Willy Horton ads for puke factor.

3. Question about Cenk

First off, I love the guy, and the first thing I do every night is watch every TYT video that's been posted here. But HTF was this guy EVER a conservative? Did he change every single one of his positions 180 degrees? I mean, God love him, he's spot on right down the line on everything.
Did he get struck by lightning one day or what?

4. He spoke about this at the YearlyKos convention a couple of years back.

The video is online. He was a moderate, NJ Republican because at the time he thought they were fiscally responsible. He slowly started to think Dems might not be so bad during Clinton's term, and Bush sent him over the edge, he couldn't vote for someone that dumb.

The war, the crazy spending, etc., pushed him further left. And over time he's learned more and more on various issues. He's come a LONG way, but it's great because I think it's part of why he's able to effectively criticize BOTH parties. I know some progressives/liberals/Democrats (I consider myself to be a progressive BTW) HATE that, but I love it.

But there are still some issues where he needs to make more progress IMO, like trade, Reagan's legacy (he doesn't love the guy but I still don't think he quite realizes how much damage he did) and top marginal tax rates.

5. Come to think of it

..his attitude about the Post gorilla cartoon was a head-scratcher. I guess he thought he was being reasonable, but that piece of shit was blatantly racist a century ago, let alone now. It's like Cenk didn't want to be seen as knee-jerk liberal, but he could have chosen a better example of something unfairly misconstrued as racist.
