Evan Bayh (IN)
Tom Carper (DE)
Blanche Lincoln (AR)
Ben Nelson (NE)
Bill Nelson (FL)
Mark Udall (CO)
Claire McCaskill (MO)
Mary Landrieu (LA)
Kay Hagan (NC)
Mark Begich (AK)
Joe Lieberman (CT)
Michael Bennet (CO)
Herb Kohl (WI)
Jeanne Shaheen (NH)
Mark Warner (VA)

That's 15.

Fifteen people calling themselves Democrats who are actively supporting the Republican agenda. Fifteen people who are blocking any movement in a progressive direction by the new administration, by teaming up with obstructionist Republicans.

Fifteen people claiming their overarching *concern* for fiscal responsibility.

Evan Bayh states there are a few more who wish to remain secret... for now.

BAYH: Well there are about 12 of us on the press release and then there are three or four who we are putting in the witness protection program, who attend our meetings but dont want to be publicly identified yet.

From Think Progress

No secrets, Bayh.

We will find out who your people are. Bet on it.

These actions are positively shameful.

Americans did NOT vote for Republicans or their agenda in November, 2008.

These "ConservaDem" turncoats MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE SENATE, and replaced with progressive voices OF and FOR the people.

1. The states are all conservative - so if the people vote you won't get a liberal dem
and most of them are popular in their own state. I think people in a state have the right to choose somewhat who reflects their values so LA will not look like CA.

3. Florida went for Obama
and Dem party membership surpasses Rep now. No reason for Bill Nelson to do this. I am royally pissed off.

I couldn't be more disgusted with our junior Senator.

26. Bullshit. Herb Kohl is on that list.
The other Senator here is Feingold, probably the second most liberal Senator aside from Sanders.

I don't buy the "only DINOs can win" theory for these states. If the DNC, DCCC and DSCC worked hard for progressive candidates and their ideas were heard they could win. Instead the party takes the easy way and recruits Republicans to run as Dems. We need a party that works for us.

29. Arkansas has only voted for a Republican Senator one time
since Reconstruction-- and he was defeated in the next election.

There's no reason for Arkansas' two Senators (and make no mistake, Mark Pryor should also be on that list) to be so damn conservative, especially considering that recent Arkansas Senators (including Mark's father, David) were more liberal leaning and had no trouble winning their elections.

11. Diane Feinstein is particularly odious

For eight years, she actively supported and promoted everything that the Bush Administration did -- ESPECIALLY his encroachments on our Civil Rights. DiFi was so helpful that she was one of only a few Democrats that Bush allowed to profit from the Iraqi war. Her husband has received many millions' of dollars of no-bid contracts to perform contractor services for the Pentagon.

DiFi is also up to her tush in outscourcing -- her husband has made billions of dollars from his contracts with China over the past fifteen years or so and every one of those lucrative contracts caused California jobs to be shipped to China. California has lost two million jobs in just the last two years, and DiFi should have to answer for every one of those job losses.

17. You mean Diane "Mukasey" Feinstein? Good wager.

You may be on to another stealth ConservaDem, scribble. Welcome to DU!

Chuck Schumer may just be another one.

If these two are hiding in this group, in the *witness protection program*, as Bayh describes it, all hell will break loose, and they know it.

5. I find Claire McCaskill's membership particularly disgusting.
She was a vociferous supporter of Obama early in the process, and worked tirelessly to get him elected.

To learn that she has joined this group of ConservaDems with the intent of putting checks on *any notions* that Obama might have in throwing out 30 years of Reaganism that have so destroyed the quality of life for people, is absolutely unacceptable.

It is painful to watch someone whom you once admired morph into a force whose mission is keeping people devoid of political, economic and social empowerment.

It's time to retire McCaskill. She has shown us who she is.

12. I think she is one of the members of this group who is looking to a 2016 Presidential run.
I am 100% sure that this includes Bayh and Warner. They are already pandering for 'moderate' Republican votes. Sickening.

14. Well, there's a winning strategy. Abandon the majority Democrats.
And since all of them think they can be president, I assume they are going to have to destroy each other. Wow, what a fun alliance Bayh has created.

9. Herb Kohl? Oh Herbie, what happened to "nobody's Senator but yours"? Kohl has tended
to be more moderate, but certainly not what I would have called "conservative". I've never been a big fan of his, basically held a neutral position toward him.
This begins to change things....

10. Warner got an email and an earful from me today.
I contacted his regional offices as well as his DC one. Aides in two of the offices claimed that the calls were running 50/50 for and against. Rush, or some other Repuke, must be mustering their forces to call in 'support' b/c I can't believe any REAL Dems are happy about this.

BTW, the ONLY explanation I received was from the DC office who claimed that Warner did this b/c he wants to work in a "bi-partisan way to help Obama." Yeah, right. The satellite offices just said that Warner has not yet "issued a statement" on his decision to join the group.

Way to go, Warner. Your first appearance on the national stage as a Senator and you manage to piss off your core constituency!

Email Warner-the-turncoat here: http://warner.senate.gov/public/?p=EmailSenatorWarner

And call him here (call all offices if you have time):

15. Glad to hear, beac. These people need to FEEL THE WRATH of we the people.
My weasley ConservaDem Senator is Bill Nelson, up for re-election in 2012.

He has not served Florida well. The days of the likes of Senator Bob Graham are long gone.

18. Reduce federal spending?
Fine then. Here's two words: the Pentagon.

Good job, Sen. Bayh. Go ahead and follow the example of the discredited House Repubs as they lead their party and their witless followers (you and your "coalition" included) over a figurative cliff. Where have you been the past few years as the economic house was smoldering? Thanks for finally growing a spine - with a Dem in the White House. Your timing sucks.

27. Sign this petition to remove Conservadems
I have a petition that I started after learning about the Conservadems goals to thwart President Obama and those of us who support him and his goals! Has there been an uprising? A rush to the streets? No this isn't France! Millions of phone calls or petitions? No we aren't there yet! I have 380 signatures .... We have millions and millions of people suffering and we have yet to get desperate enough to see the light as a country! How do we inspire our country to move? Does it take a complete collapse?
