2. But what? They're all just too paranoid to say anything?
It's high time (pun intended) for all pot smokers and other supporters of legalization to organize. C'mon, NORML, get busy!

5. Won't Walmart just steal the mom & pop pot dealer's business?
... bongs & pipes, Aisle 3

And they still won't open up another checkout lane.

6. 95% Yes?..

It's hard for me to believe that there are that many people out there who can still think for themselves.Maybe the Republican viewers couldn't figure out how to respond...or maybe they were waiting to be told.

Still, that is encouraging to hear that they got such a positive response.

7. The end of Prohibition 2.0...
Well, the "Great Depression" did at least one good thing: It called for the end to the human rights violation of "Prohibition".

The government needed a new source of tax revenue that wouldn't lead to instant murderous riots or more open calls for communism, so removing the banning of a very popular substance got that money. And there were far less alcohol fatalities (less antifreeze mixed 'bathtub gin') and the organized crime gangs nearly went bankrupt overnight.

8. I'm all for it.

But I would like some laws regarding its use, such as not being able to smoke it in a public place like an office or bar or what have you.

I haven't smoked it in over 30 years, and really don't like the smell, nor do I want a contact high. And I don't want people out there driving who may be one of those folks who goes to LaLa Land when they imbibe.

But if you want to toke up in your home or in a friend's home, go for it. Criminalizing marijuana is one of the dumbest things this country has ever done.

10. Aaaand here's the toppp reason I have to plant hemp
Edited on Wed Feb-25-09 04:22 PM by BelgianMadCow
it keeps the colorado beetles out of my potatoes!!! ZOMG this is hugh!

Just read a (seventies I think) extensive work on "gardening at home" and all of a sudden I see hemp plants - with the above explanation :-)

We already were allowed to have one plant (oo but do they do grow big in a greenhouse) but I just luuurve the reasoning.

It's for me potatoes officer :P

a PS: I would not be happy if my teenage boys smoked everyday (as I would dislike even more if they drank every day). And I don't advocate using marihuana when you know you have psychological / neurological deficiencies.
