| An so it begins... ICELAND Revolution beginning NOW! Part II US? |
|
They were forced to take an IMF loan and now their politicians are trying to get rid of Iceland's socialized medicine. I wonder if these kids even know what's going on. Someone should tell them to screw the IMF!

Its ggod to see this kind of thing happening around the world more often. If such protests were to get more coverage in this country more of us would be jumping on the bandwagon and joining in.

It is a breathtakingly beautiful country and the people are wonderful. It's heartbreaking to see this happening, to them.

their documentary film Heima shows the beauty of Iceland and its people. I recommend getting it, especially since you've lived there: trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZYIfUdIyfs

| 4. Read "Shock Doctrine".... |
|
...it lays out how the IMF rules for loans were changed so dramatically that in order to qualify, the loan recipient HAS to dismantle any left-leaning governmental policies.

| 5. ever notice? we defanged the left! (the USSR...sigh) |
|
to defang the reactionary right (we actually had them on the ground in 1945, but allen/jf dulles plus prescott bush etc, were guarding the fort, i guess) will not happen, as they can't allow it, so the worst science fiction you ever read (the 'army' will be all cannibals within 100 years, with sharpened teeth and the law says, you can't look at them, er else, lol) is on the way! Global warming MIGHT stop them. ie mr pig, but, hell, GW is really a good thing; pigs like it warm. If jesus died for humanity, then he made a big mishtake...

| 6. If anyone thinks Scandinavians are going to have a violent revolution... |
|
Then they don't understand the Scandinavian mentality. Not in the least. Yes, there will be noise but very orderly protests and some people might even do things like throw eggs but that's about as bad as it gets. Really the one to blame for Iceland's problems is deregulation of the banking sector just like in the US.
