1. It is obvious that many militants came to Iraq

ready to blow themselves us and kill as many Americans as possible, simply because of Abu Gharib and Guantanamo. A military interrogator recently published a book saying that torture has made us less safe, because many of the people he interrogated came to Iraq specifically because our brutal policies. He said that most of them were unwilling to cooperate, simply steeled themselves against questions, until they started building a rapport and being friendly. I wish I could recall the man's name...
