8. You give the average guy spending power they spend then make business grow they even advertise with>

TV. Surely TV has a vested intrest in most folks having fuller pockets the more they donate to Obama for advertiseing. The tax cut theory doesn't follow a key part of business spend money to make money, pay their taxes so the government can make people more productive to make money. It's astonishing how so many business are not thinking about the big picture and prepared to see wealth shoots straight up right past them.

27. Many of the business owners I know fail to understand how to empower the consumer.

They don't see that paying a worker a living wage gives them more ability to buy consumer goods to benefit their business. Most of these people are second or third generation family businessmen, so they didn't go through the phase of starting up and working through the growing pains of making that business work and operate at a profit.

I get tired of these business owners getting in faces and letting you know that they create jobs. Job creation is not the main reason these people went into business. They did it to make money. They need labor in order to make money. Until this mindset gets turned around, we'll continue to see state and local governments fall over themselves offering tax abatements and other financial incentives that shortchange their ability to create and maintain their respective infrastructures.

The other thing I get tired of is this mindset that the private sector inherently does things better and more efficiently than the public sector. Recent developments in Wall Street, Enron, Tyco, the Big Three automakers and other big businesses should put a stop to that argument.
