4. Bet he just goes and peddles his wares elsewhere, like a small town Palin rally where
he and his "creativity" would be appreciated. :eyes:

7. Forgive me . . .
. . .but isn't a Muslim for McCain sort of like Jews for Nazisim, African Americans for the KKK, and Gays for the Christian Coalition?

13. Takes all kinds

It's not Nazism, the KKK or the Christian Coalition.

There are Muslims who are single-issue voters on abortion, just as some others are.

k&r

I especially liked how he refused to give his name and left, and she, when unable to answer what the message on the bumpersticker was if not racist, tried to get out of it by saying she didnt' want to talk to the media.

I don't care if he gets a vote or two out of it. It's time they sent these idiots packing.

12. Kudos to them

It's okay to have a heated election contest, and it's heartening to see there are some sane ones that recognize where the foul lines are.

Ever notice that when these hate mongers are asked to defend their positions, they clam up...

20. I think they are unwell people
and when they find that people around them will not share their sickness they withdraw to gnash their teeth and claw their chests in private.

17. K & R
This type of behavior needs to be recognized and encouraged. We lose sight of it during election season, but there are honorable people on the other side of the aisle. The more we can spotlight the good that they do the more likely they will be to chase away the bad elements within their party. That is truly in the best interests of the United States.

21. Something about this video seems not quite authentic to me
This was staged. Now, hear me out.

I watched it twice last night on HuffPo, so I've had a few hours to absorb it.

And one of the commenters on HuffPo had written that it seemed like a ecumenical community theater group had put this together...and in the morning it seems pretty clear to me that that person's instincts were dead on and it is indeed the case. When the first young muslim girl says her line "I change my mind" she almost blows the line by nearly laughing at the end. The editor cuts right there. The actors (the young people and the "mean" racist who is probably in real life a minister) could be all part of some group that has a message of religious tolerance - and they took it on themselves to put this scene together. I think that's what it is after sleeping on it.

The more cynical view would be that some McCain staffers put this together to show us that not all of the members of their base are intolerant.
