Yeah. And what a disgusting bunch of people. It's weird to see people your parents age behaving like that. I don't know who raised them, but my mom was raised better than that.

 |
but, when they're taping him at the rally he gets uncomfortable and takes the sticker off the monkey and gives it to a child. crazy ass racist. it looks like the band aid is being ripped off of a festering wound. we have to take care of the infection so the wound can heal. it has to be aired out so the scab can form. it's gonna take the mlk/jfk/rfk/ghandi/mother theresa/mandela in all of us to keep this country from imploding.

 |
they've made it acceptable for outright racism to lift its ugly head yet again.
It's like 1961 all over.
Shame on them.

I'm looking at videos of McCain-Palin rallies and, maybe I'm missing them, but are there ANY non-white people there?

| 14. I read that nonwhite faces are so rare at their rallies that an African-American |
 |
reporter, with obvious press credentials, was removed from the press area by SS at one rally because he looked like he "didn't belong there."

video bank of people who have the tendencies to engage in hate-based violence--you know, like those who attend anti war rallies or who attended the protests at the RNC? They have the hubris to believe that they wouldn't end up on those lists; they believe that it's their first amendment right to say these things, blah blah. But guess what? Same explanation/excuses applied to the other two groups I mentioned, too, and they wound up on terrorism lists. The difference being that those at anti-war rallies and protesting the RNC didn't go on camera making racist statements against a presidential contender. Huge difference in law application there.
What many other the people who are attending these hate-filled rallies don't know/believe is that the police now have this handy dandy device on their patrol cars which can, as they cruise through a parking lot, scan each and every license plate and get your information and amass it in a data bank. God help you if your plates have expired, but none of them will find out that they have been put on a terrorist watch list until someone on the inside decides to make the list public, like that list in Maryland. Then when this all comes out in the open, that very same man will be leading the pack of protesters about how America is spying on its citizens.
Come to think of it, perhaps the reason why there is a regiment of soldiers at the ready to enforce martial law is because of these people. I wonder how they would like having their rights suspended, not having habeus corpus, etc. After all, "they have nothing to hide, so why not give up a few rights to feel secure?"

I don't think anybody's freedoms would be compromised in the least bit if we stripped someone's right to vote for being a racist.

I'll be the first to say, and have said, I think that racism is big driving force behind the McPalin ticket.
But that monkey is just a cartoon that you all are reading to much into IMHO.

If it's not meant as a nasty racial slur?
