31. Carlyle Group which includes Bush Sr. , Baker
Have moved their business offshore so they will pay no taxes.
There was talk about Bush Jr. having a major position on
Carlyle Group just in-case he would have lost the 2004
election (with the republican's voting fraud I don't know how
that could have ever taken place).
Carlyle Group received major no-bid contracts in Bush Jr's
administration which has created a great wealth for them.
Carlyle Group I believe has countries like Saudi Arabia ,
Dubai and other foreign countries which hate our guts , but I
no longer see any difference between them and our current
administration...

You have to remember that Saudi Arabia had 15 or the 19
terrorist which were on the planes of 911, and one of the
major supporters of the insurgents which were killing our
soldiers in Iraq...

***
http://www.commondreams.org/headlines01/1211-05.htm

Nowhere is the revolving U.S.-Saudi money wheel more evident
than within President Bush's own coterie of foreign policy
advisers, starting with the president's father, George H.W.
Bush.

At the same time that the elder Bush counsels his son on the
ongoing war on terrorism, the former president remains a
senior adviser to the Washington D.C.-based Carlyle Group.
That influential """"INVESTMENT
BANK"""" has deep connections to the
"""Saudi royal family""" as well
as financial interests in """U.S. defense
firms""" hired by the kingdom to equip and
train the Saudi military.

2. He is senile!
He must be talking about Americans that are to poor to need to pay taxes or the wealthy who get all the tax breaks. Possibly he is just nuttier than a fruit cake!

9. He's talking about the poor
When I occasionally get the urge to bang my head against a wall and have a discussion about taxes with one of the many right-wingers around here, I hear that argument: Those making under a certain amount don't pay taxes. For some reason, they just don't count payroll taxes as "real taxes". It's probably just too much listening to GOP talking points, but it sure is infuriating.

(Of course, the last one used the argument that the robust economy and budget surpluses under Bill Clinton were a direct result of reduced military spending because Reagan ended the Cold War. Standard RW'er: take all of the credit, but none of the blame.)

17. Even the old McCain would call the new McCain senile
He's been senile since bomb bomb bomb iran. That being said, I still work part time and as far as I can tell even on the bad years of $5000 still got taxed. So shall I assume maybe if families aren't making any money at all (ie totally poor) they aren't paying taxes?? Which I'm sure isn't quite right either.

5. Everyone who works pays Social Security taxes unless you make more than $90,000 a year.
No one is exempt from Social Security taxes (unless you are getting paid under the table). Even if you only make less than $9,000 a year, you STILL HAVE TO PAY SOCIAL SECURITY TAXES.

Unless you make more than about $90,000 a year and then you only pay taxes on the first $90,000 (or there abouts).

AND Raygun doubled, yes doubled, your Social Security taxes. At the same time he cut the uber wealthy's taxes. There are your tax and spend Republicons.

11. Well, he's right...
The millions of unemployed who aren't counted in the official figure of 6.1% because they've stopped looking for work that isn't there certainly aren't paying taxes, are they John?

Oh, the actual unemployment numbers? Closer to 10%, at LEAST 8%, and I would say probably higher than that.

working full-time, it's more like 12% unemployed.

33. If you count the persons on "forced" early retirement
The figure goes up....
Persons like Bush , Cheney , McCain and the others have no
clue and could care less about how the majority of the
American workers , seniors and poor live and survive...
They now have a global world to select the cheapest worker ,
place for producing their products to save .02 a barrel or
volume.
When corporations have become a Global Corporation they
control the market. They can cut the number of workers , gain
more wealth and have no competition.
Global markets are not for any benefit to the people of this
planet , it is for corporation's wealth , power and domination
of the planet and the people which live on it...

....kept blinking a lot! But don't worry, 'cause Sarah Palin doesn't blink!

Anyway, maybe he meant to say:
"Some corporations don't pay taxes at all"

'cause then he wouldn't be lying.... again.

At least Bush's syntax was distorted when he spoke. McCain clearly states what he may later deny.

18. WHAT???!! McCain is totally, irrevocably OUT OF TOUCH!
The press had better start doing their jobs so America can get a good look at what the REAL McCain/Palin ticket represents. The economy is in dire condition as it is but these two, out of touch and just plain ignorant, will lead us directly into a deep and lasting depression. Meanwhile they continue to stress talking point lies about Obama's economic plan.

I sincerely hope that a significant majority of Americans are able to cut through the McCain bullshit campaign and focus on the real issues that the Republican Party, including REPUBLICAN JOHN "90%" MCCAIN, are responsible for.

26. Dear John.....
... There's that old axiom about Death and Taxes being the two certainties of life. But I DO see your point! Once death claims an American (and the necessary dues are extracted from whatever estate they left behind), they're finally exempted from paying taxes.
It's a gruesome thought, but your pal Bush has seen to giving tax breaks to over 4000 service-people since we started our noble experiment of Democracy-building in Iraq.
