3. Is it just me, or did Bill soften up to Obama over the course of this interview?
Edited on Wed Sep-10-08 09:44 PM by 1corona4u
I think he did. He'll go back to slamming him I think, but it was nice to see him backing off a bit to let Obama finish his replies.

4. Unbelievable
Especially the end when Obama knows which sports O'Reilly played. Obama winds up winning what most thought would be an unwinnable interview.

8. Now that is quite something!
He more than held his own against the loudmouthed, two-bit bully O'Reilly.
The REALLY cool thing is that O'Reilly just helped Obama get access to a demographic that would normally be completely ignorant of the nuances of Obama's position. Well done, well done indeed.

10. Obama reminds me of a stealthy lion
he listens, he watches, he pounces. I think O'Reill's gonna vote for him.

11. I'm none too wild about putting that alleged missile shield in Poland
. . . since there are other places it could be put. And it would probably be far easier to negotiate that location with Germany, Austria, or Greece than put up with a decade of retaliatory nonsense from Russia. Besides that, Obama said during the interview we don't even know whether it would work. Imagine advancing that atomic clock two minutes over a piece of junk.

But I suppose a presidential candidate can't commit to a position either way on this, since doing so would give up a potential bargaining chip.

12. Just out of curiosity...
When has O'Reilly EVER interviewed George Bush like that?

He was yelling and screaming, interrupting, kept trying to follow up.

Now granted I think O'Reilly is an asshole, but a president...or potential president, like Obama...ought to be able to take crap like this head-on. And Obama did.

But still..I've NEVER, not once, seen George Bush interviewed like that. Well, except for that journalist who interviewed Bush in Ireland and actually asked tough questions and tried to get him to answer them. Then the WH filed a formal complaint with the Irish government or some crap and banned her from the White House. :eyes:
