1. A must see for all who are concerned about Barack Obama.
This is so spot on that if you looked up Spot in the dictionary it would show you this video.

4. I think this is where he starts getting tougher
The 527s will be coming out too. He knows what he's doing, the guy is smart, I've learned to not doubt him.

21. I am so glad he's letting them off their leashes
it's about time we brought bats and knives to this fight instead of white flags.

2. This is one reason why I like him!
He calls things as they are. "Enough is enough" indeed.

I also like how he referred to Palin as "The governor of Alaska," separating the job from the person. McCain wants to make it all personal, but Obama is trying to keep the focus on the job and the policies.

22. Here's why Mooselini's feigned outrage falls flat on its face
she pointed to herself when pointing out the difference between "hockey moms" <>and pitbulls (a pitbull is a dog breed and female dogs are called what?) was lipstick. Most women wear lipstick; all women, with the exception of Mooselini, are NOT pitbulls. She gave herself that monicker--so now, when Obama uses an age old phrase (be glad he didn't say "doing the same thing over and over again and thinking you're going to get a different outcome is the definition of insanity"), they attempt to assign a non sequitur by saying because she inferred/intimated last week that because she wears lipstick, she's a bitch, then that means anytime the word lipstick is used, you're talking about Mooselini.

5. That was great and on Fox of all places, did they
then have those nit-wits from Fox and Friends cut him up for it somehow. I would have liked to seen that but I can't watch Fox for that long a period without throwing something at the TV.

6. I like how they put palin's picture on the screen
when he is talking about the comment, but when he starts attacking the press for making a story out of it, they take the photo down.
So funny how they proved his point. faux news once again shows their true colors.

please ban the word "lipstick" in your vocabulary.

No sense giving the enemy any ammunition.

It is so refreshing to listen to a candidate who makes sense when he speaks instead of falling back on tired propaganda.
Bravo to you President Obama. Keep it up.

14. Barack is BRILLIANT!
he gave a no nonsense, non-spin reply and called McCain and his campaign OUT on what they are doing. McCain can't talk about the issues he can only drum up lies and innuendo.

Barack Obama will be the first REAL president we've had in a long time!

18. The only thing I would disagree with him on is this: he says the Democratic candidate
doesn't lose because of these phony issues. That's where he's wrong. The people lose, sure, but the Democrats also lose.

20. McCain campaign calls Palin a pig? Oh, my....
Swiftboat attack on Obama backfires. How droll.
O(not)Really called it a 'smear'. OK, if 'smear lipstick on a pig' is oink with
Buckaroo Bill when referring to Palin, then who am I to object?

Yet if McCain is incapacitated republicans figure Palin can run the US.
So now their plan stands revealed: after eight years of MORON republicans
intend to give us eight years of PIG!

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

September 2008
From: The Australian ( http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,24324153-2703,00.html)

The row began when Obama told a rally: “The other side, suddenly, they're saying 'we're for change too.' Now think about it, these are the same folks that have been in charge for the last eight years. You can put lipstick on a pig. It's still a pig. You can wrap up an old fish in a piece of paper and call it change. It's still going to stink after eight years. We've had enough,” he exclaimed to a standing ovation.

In accepting the party's vice presidential nomination, Alaska Governor Palin joked at the Republican convention last week that the only difference between a hockey mom like herself and a pitbull was “lipstick.”

The McCain campaign said this was “just the latest in a series” of offensive comments the Obama campaign has lobbed at Palin.

24. Does anyone else get the impression that Obama's schoolin' some people?
Edited on Wed Sep-10-08 08:21 PM by PerpetuallyDazed
But in a good way! He's got down pat this perfect tone and expression of disapproval/disappointment that's like, "C'mon guys, you can do better than this." He's like the wise Father figure to McCain's petulant child... :D

28. It looks good for him though
From an electoral college standpoint he's got it better than McCain. Also, this is about as good as it will get for McCain. The race is basically even, 4 years ago, John Kerry was down by 10-14 points at this time and he erased it all in one debate. McCain needed something to give after his convention and it really hasn't. As of now, Obama looks to hold all of Kerry's states and has Iowa for sure, and will probably add New Mexico and Colorado, which would give him the win. Sure those are battles, but the trend in the country looks good, plus Obama has registration advantages and probably a turnout edge in his favor too. It's been his race to lose and still is.
