5. Maverick? No. Cowboy? Yes.

As much as the cowboy is part of American history, the idea of having cowboys running this country is frightening to me. I see the "independence" and "ruggedness" of McCain and Palin as nothing more than saddle-worn cowpoking. Riding across the globe yelling YEEEHAWWW and firing your guns in the air does nothing but start cattle stampedes and waste ammunition.

McCain's no maverick. Neither is Palin. They're just cowboys like George.
