1. I agree with Maher that the claims the 'surge is working' have gone unchallenged.

What criteria does Crash McCain and the surge supporters have to back their claim? All I've gotten is rhetoric that 'the surge is working.'

Sez who?

For the sake of argument, let's say the surge has worked. So what? We had no business invading Iraq in the first place. We invaded that country on a pack of lies from Bush/Cheney. It's cost thousands of lives, displaced hundreds of thousands of Iraqis and has financially and morally bankrupted this country.

Bragging that the surge is working is like losing a basketball game by 40 points but claiming you won because you outscored your opponent in the fourth quarter.
