Obama ad hits back on McCain's attempts to associate him with Ayers, a controversial figure from the sixties that was active during a time when Obama was only eight years old.

Sorry the audio cuts off, but you get the idea. Maybe the Obama camp will put up the ad on their YouTube page soon. Meanwhile, here is a sneak peek of the ad.

1. It is a good ad and has been playing in the lower Michigan area.
Glad to see them pushing back on this 'non-issue'...

6. Good to hear!
I think it's also airing in Ohio.

It's another play on the them that McCain is more of the same old politics and out of touch. Two powerful narratives, imo.

3. When McCain talks about the sixties, he's just waxing nostalgic.
Hell, at his age, he probably even has nostalgia for his OWN sixties.

8. I still think we should call him McThuselah, as was suggested by another poster.
Even the Bible-thumping "non-elitists" will get that one.

10. What an ignorant statement
about that which you apparently don't know or comprehend. I notice you use a 60's car in your picture. Interesting...what gen are you? I guess you didn't catch the "hate" stirred up in your own post.

12. I was referring to McCain and the pukkkes stirring up hate
and I am puzzled at the hostility in your reply to me.

Seems like I only stirred you up.

(I'm a boomer, BTW...)

13. I obviously misunderstood you
and I'm sorry about that. I get very angry when younger people say that we boomers messed everything up (as I've seen here on DU) when they don't realize that we inherited the problems from previous generations. I do apologize.

11. I still think an appropriate response ad would feature McCain cheating on his wife
