1. It's so refreshing to hear a Republican speaking in a thoughtful,
reasoned way.

2. This fellow doesn't talk like any republican that I know....
Aside from maybe his wealth, I would venture to guess this guy is a pretty weak repug. He seems to exhibit rational thinking, unemotional thought process, and even seems to have the welfare of the country at heart. These are NOT characteristics of a "good repug".

They prefer whatever it takes to make an extra dollar at someone else's expense. They prefer "no taxes", or at least they like that phrase. They really don't give a rat's ass about the welfare of the nation. They just want to be sure they get there "big piece of the pie" when it's all said and done.

Nice video....and he might've been a republican back in the late 50's...but not since nixon. He's definitely an independent in repug's clothing.

3. Let's concentrate on what's best for the USA . . .
I think this young man has it truly together. :applause:

One should not vote strictly by Party . . . one should vote for the individual they believe could do the best job.

I also agree wholeheartedly that individual who have served multiple terms do fall into a category of privileged life style. It's been said if you want to get rich go into politics for 3 years! Once there all the golden chances to hook up with big money is at your beckon call, all for a few votes. When the money starts rolling in they do tend to lose a good sense of the pulse of the people and their needs. I think limiting terms would prevent this and should be a requirement much like the president.

7. Maybe we could force a choice between term limits and Instant Runoff Voting wi. public financing

... of campaigns.

If we could force that choice somehow, then those in power would either be forced to only do this job for a short time, or else they would have to EARN it with more pressure from independent candidates that don't have to get corporate campaign financing. Personally I'd prefer the latter, but if we could force a choice on them then perhaps we'd get many to jump on board that are the decent and less or non-corrupt ones to put the latter in place. With the former, at least we can get a chance to clean house of the current cancer we have now and perhaps put in the latter later.

I know, I know... How do you force such a choice on them, when the corporate world and they don't want to have to deal with that.

6. Good for him...I love it when people think "outside of their box"!
More people should look at the issue's and do what is right not only for themselves but also for the whole country.

8. An example of why I am not voting for McCain
I recently saw a short video of McCain being interviewed about something - I think it was about when he was first "dating" his current wife and the issue of her being 17 years younger. The interviewer asked about how he dealt with the age difference. McCain's unapologetic response was, "I lied". AND THEN HE LAUGHED. I am really tired of having lairs in and around the White House. I will not vote for another liar. This is about character and integrity. I judge that Obama has a high level of integrity.
