"Susan Rice one of Barack Obama's foreign policy advisers was on Morning Joe to discuss Bush's North Korea policy. Somehow Joey S thought that this should be looked at as a foreign policy feather in Bush's crown. She correctly pointed out that the Bush administration's 'muscular' diplomacy had been a failure. Even the multi-lateral talks were failing until the Bush administration had one on one discussions with North Korea. Only then was there some movement toward an agreement."

even when she raises her voice she lacks the shrill quality usually attributed to women. she makes them look stupid in such a nice way. i think she'd be an awesome press secretary, too. she just has a good presence.

Edited on Sat Jun-28-08 02:58 PM by butterfly77
because he was SUPPOSE to give some deep, probing and inciteful gotcha question. WRONG! I love the way Obama and his team are not letting the republicons play this game they have been playing for the past eight years. They try to pretend as though we are safe because Bush or republicons are supposedly in charge. Safe how?

They have been throwing out false statistics for years now about, crime, food safety, port safety,etc...I was angry when Kerry was the nominee because everytime they would throw out one of these unimportant questions during his campaign they would start hemming and hawing. Ms.Rice seemed to be the only person who could bring it to the republicons and with facts..when she was with the Kerry campaign..

13. Right Wing Talking Points
David repeats right wing talking points because the network gets lots of mail from right wingers. Say this much about them, right wingers apply pressure. If their talking points aren't at least acknowledged, they howl.

18. MSNBC is allowing itself to fall victim to the criticism of Fox. They
probably feel pressured, especially by O'Reilly, to dispel the myth that they are pro Obama, and anti GOP. O'Reilly has made it his personal mission to take down NBC and any media he deems leftwing.

As for David Gregory, I lost any respect I ever had for him after his little rap performance with Karl Rove. They got to Gregory, and his reporting hasn't been the same since.

28. Don't you remember the TWC bombing in '93?
Edited on Sat Jun-28-08 11:05 PM by The Wielding Truth
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1993_World_Trade_Center_bombing

That certainly was a domestic attack.

It took alQeada then 7 more years to plan and execute the 9/11 attacks.

2001+7 is what 2008!

IF we make it through 2008 then maybe the credit can go to someone.

It sure was a boost to the failing * presidency that catapulted him from faux ranch dufus to the "war president".

How anyone could turn the dissemination of our Democracy into a pat on the back, ruining our government while a more radical and more hateful world plots our destruction, is a huge mind bend that honestly astounds me.

15. When did David Gregory climb into bed with Joe Scarborough?
Susan Rice is SHARP. It gives me a feeling of comfort and confidence that she'll be keeping an eye on things in the Obama administration.

As an aside, I heard that cooling tower the N Koreans tore down hadn't been used in a very long time anyway.

22. We haven't been attacked since 9/11!
I guess Bush is responsible for us not being struck by a meteor too....that hasn't happened either!

Why would Al Qaeda attack us again? Everything they dreamed of has come true with a vengeance. America is less safe. It's a world laughing stock that no one trusts. Our leaders look like idiots. We've betrayed our very ideals with torture, secret prisons and domestic spying. Who needs more? The attack that the Bush Administration allowed to happen and allowed to succeed has yielded gold for Al Qaeda. It's so American to not understand not trying to get more even when you got what you wanted (greed) and not using frontal brutal violence over and over again. Those in the GOP and punditry class REALLY don't get it. Al Qaeda is more sophisticated than they.

29. Rice Peel-Off
Another Republicon talking point. But we haven't been attacked since 9/11. That means what Bush is doing is working. Duh! I hate when they say that. It means Bush/Cheney haven't decided to attack us again. Susan Rice is great. I hope she is going to be in Obama's administration. Now see if 9/11 is exposed they will never be able to say that shit again.

Just once when one of these talking asses says we haven't been attacked since 911, I'd like to hear someone come back with, "Do you not believe the anthrax attack murders was an attack? And hasn't Bush and his republican administration let them get away with it?"

if she would have said, "what do you call the Anthrax attacks, and history will show the 9/11 attacks was operated and allowed to complete itself under the watch of George Bush's presidency"
