Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a member of the House Judiciary Committee, spoke with MSNBC's Dan Abrams about Karl Rove's refusal to testify before the committee. "This administration has stepped on Congress' last nerve. We are really done with the disrespect that has been shown by this administration to the Legislative Branch of government," said Wasserman Schultz. "I can assure you that we are committed to using every tool in the tool belt that is available to the House Judiciary Committee to ensure that he testifies," she told Abrams.

7. She chooses friends over values, and hopefully she's ignoring her constituents too.

Maybe I'm wrong and the people she represents send her letters all the time begging her to help keep Dade in Republican hands.

Look, if she's not interested in helping Florida go Democratic, she shouldn't be a co-chair in Florida's Red to Blue program.

Let's hope when on the House Judiciary Committee, she'll decide to finally act like a leader instead of a bestest buddy resume builder.

9. You are right about that

But you know, Florida politicians are strange critters.

I lived in Miami and worked for Miami-Dade for more than 20 years, and you just don't interfere or upset the Cubans - and that is no generalization. They are a group of constituents with long memories who take their politics and causes very seriously, and at times, dangerously - no matter the cost/feelings to others. IMO, one way Wasserman protects her seat is by not upsetting the South Florida applecart.

So while she believes and says the right words here, I put my faith in John Conyers to do the right thing and not be swayed to protect Rove which would in turn, protect Bush - a man in which Ros-Lehtinen has a strong working relationship.
