MUST-SEE VIDEO: Jon Stewart Reams Dick Cheney...

An absolutely classic and devastating segment from last night's Daily Show featuring a relentless --- if greatly deserved --- reaming of the as-yet unimpeached Dick Cheney by Jon Stewart.

Must-see video is at RAW STORY courtesy of David Edwards.

1. Saw it. Darth Vader mask & Sauron eye were great.
But I couldn't understand Stewart in the mask.

2. "How dare you apply my party's cruel and inhumane family policies to MY family!"

Jon sums it all up beautifully, as usual!

Man, there is no lower form of life than Dick Cheney. He is just VILE. :wow:

16. That was classic!
Jon sums it up better than anyone could.

Of course, it's a perfectly legitimate question, but Cheney acts outraged that it would even be raised.

I wonder if Cheney ever watches the Daily Show. lol

3. Stewart is most definitely a national treasure. He's one of the greats, like
Lenny Bruce, Richard Pryor, and George Carlin.

7. This was really great. I LMAO. I was kind of hoping they would
include the part where Cheney said they don't care what the rest of us think, they're going ahead with their own plans no matter what.

10. Jon Stewart IS a national treasure .
sometimes I don't know what I would do without him and Colbert. It's not like Cheney needs any help looking evil or like an ass, but that was Jon at his best!

21. I agree. I don't have TV, but video clips of Colbert and Stewart keep
me going.

I have a feeling that those two did more than almost anyone else to turn things around. The world is still uber-scary, but it's better than it was a few months ago. I will be forever indebted to them because (if nothing else) they made me laugh.

22. I don't watch much tv really, but I have this addiction now...
my husband watches a lot - our basic cable didn't carry Comedy Central (although I could get the shows on a Canadian station at midnight, it just wasn't the same!)

My husband is not political in the least though, so I offered to take over the bill if we upgraded, and I consider it 40+ dollars a month well spent. I watch Stewart and Colbert, Bill Maher when he's on, football, and CSPAN if something is going on, other than that I don't bother.

I had never heard of Colbert until the Correspondent's Dinner, and didn't know much about Jon Stewart either, but now, I don't know what I'd do without them.

I too think they did a lot to turn things around, particularly with the youth vote, and I'm pretty sure I read that it was the youth vote that made the difference in the midterms.

My daughter has VIP tickets to TDS next month, and I'm JEALOUS - of course she lives in NYC, and I don't. Tickets to TCR are a lot harder to get right now, but if she ever gets them, I think I'd make the trip.

24. I'm in danger of developing hero-worship.
It's actually on my list of Life Lessons right under "Fantasies should stay in the realm of fantasy; reality can never live up to fantasy": "Humans have feet of clay. Hero-worship is for the easily-led."

I'm especially enamored of Colbert who mocks those who have mentally tortured me. :) My father listened to Limbaugh EVERY SINGLE DAY...three hours of hell. My mother is an O'Reilly fan, so the anti-O'Reilly is my cup o' tea.

26. Oh, me too!
And I'm way too old for that stuff. I watched Colbert at the Correspondents Dinner so many times I lost count, and I think it started there.

Luckily my parents weren't Rush fans or O'Reilly fans, so I didn't have to go through THAT.

I love them both, but I think Colbert has a bit of an edge with me because of the Correspondent's dinner - they're both just so frigging FUNNY, and intelligent...oh and good looking, too! I think I go through withdrawal when they take vacations.....

25. Congratulations on discovering Stewart and Colbert!
The sustained comedic output of the two makes the hour before midnight the best way to end a day I can imagine. Slash and burn, take-no-prisoners, fearless...

And remember - they are backed up by the very best writers in the business, and a crew of dazzlingly talented people. Imagine the endless, relentless brainstorming that must go on! I would fly across the country to attend a taping.

27. I'm just sorry it took me so long!
I would love to watch the putting-together of a show, as well as attend a taping. I'd only have to drive 8 hours (or fly 1/2 hour), and could stay with my daughter, who recently moved to NYC, so it's likely I will attend a taping someday.

I think I'd prefer a Colbert Report taping because there's a little more audience interaction, and because you never know WHAT he might do!

19. They left out the "doctor" bit, but this is absolutely great.
I had to comment again because I haven't laughed this hard in weeks...been rough going. I don't have TV, but I saw this first on http://www.comedycentral.com . I knew as soon as I saw it that it was huge. :) Thanks for posting.
