Under Bush we have taken all the credibility out of education and glorified stupidity and ignorance. It's time we Volvo drivin' ,latte drinkin' people with some education stand up and point out what the ignorance and the stupidity of voters have given us for the last 8 years.

And he's right: educated people don't have to look down on un- or undereducated people, but they don't need to put them on a pedestal either.

I'm so sick of the "stupid is chic" meme that this country has adopted since Bushitter stole the white house. And I don't mean that people who don't have a college degree are stupid; I mean the way that education has been dissed in this country.
