A very good, earnest q&a discussion with the entire Indianapolis Star's editorial board staff on wide ranging issues facing Americans. Senator Barack Obama clearly shows why he will be the perfect President for the U.S., providing excellent insight into the positive change his administration will bring to America.

1. I watched them all (the various segments).
Now I see how he gets all of the Newspaper endorsements. He really just tells them what they can expect from him. I'm fired up and ready to go! :patriot:

2. Do equivalent videos exist for Hillary?
Offhand, I imagine she does not come off as well, because I do not believe she has a VISION of where the country should be going, but a list of policies, but I would be interested in hearing her in a similar environment.

3. It's either a hard rock lyric;
Or someone cussing; however, halfway through the fourth part someone hacked into the video.

5. It will be very interesting to see if the Star endorses anybody
Decades ago, the Start was fiercely partisan for the right wing. That was when Dan Quayle, family owned the rag. Indianapolis proper has evolved to become much more of a Democratic center, with the Limbaugh types largely escaping to the suburbs. The paper has become a bit more neutral, but still significantly right of center -- just not as stridently so.

The politics are interesting. Evan Bayh is pushing Clinton with everything he's got. But because he is a man who is not really known for ever having any convictions about anything, his endorsement is a hollow one. That is to say, Hoosiers are accustomed to hearing him use a lot of words to say nothing, and that is how his endorsement sounds.

But would this influence the Star to make an endorsement one way or another? I could see the Star endorsing Obama to give Bayh a little jab. I can also see them doing that as a shout out to the Democrats in their customer base, which probably support Obama 60/40.

But I can also see them going the other direction. Clinton represents the status quo, and businesses -- especially media businesses -- like that. As Obama represents a grass roots movement, this is very threatening to them that's got. Not that Obama is personally threatening to the Indianapolis Star, but the Star is part of the network of corporations that definitely don't want to see grass roots happening.

6. It appears that most of our national media doesn't like grassroots....
maybe because they know if someone that the people give the power to gets to the White House, their days of "anything goes" may be numbered!
